QUOTE(veryannoying @ Sep 30 2012, 03:29 PM) Question Situation If the current forte stop production on 2013, and replaced by k3. I want to buy the current forte in year 2014, those forte oredi in showroom for 1year plus, will their price be lower due to depreciation? Your question is a hyphothetical one. K3, is likely to be priced at least RM10,000 higher than the current Forte, due to the expected enhancement in technology and specs. When the current Forte model is discontinued, and if indeed K3 is priced much higher, do think there is any need to markdown the price for Forte to clear them? By then, stocks for Forte will be limited, and if demand remains reasonably strong, prices do not necessary have to go down.

QUOTE(1stLaksamana @ Oct 3 2012, 08:14 PM) is it confirmed that we can't install mud flaps if we have bodykit installed? on the second day that i got the car, i travelled to surprise my family (they live in another state). last quater of the journey, on a long stretch of road, the traffic came to a standstill, turns out they were tar-ing the road, i was so worried my car would have tar stains on the body good thing they finished the job and did it well so not a single stain Yes, that's true. Once you have the side skirts of body kit fixed, you can fix the mud flaps anymore.

"Quote : 1laksamana""wah boss, just got my car 2 weeks ago, can i be eligible for the free service too?? and that time the interest rate was higher too, any discount or freebies to offset ?? "
The Free 3 Year Service is subject to terms and conditions and not a direct ADD-ON to the deal. There is some adjustment to our margin, if you opt for this service package. As for the rate, it is subject to the loan amount, tenure, hirer's financial profile which may differ from case to case etc. Cheers, KS Loh This post has been edited by Buydirect: Oct 11 2012, 11:42 AM

QUOTE(matsy0421 @ Oct 21 2012, 05:52 PM) thats what i also suspect bro... that it is a test drive car... he say the customer applied loan everything but dont have money to pay for downpayment... i also like dont understand the story... confused... but if its a test drive car? is it worth of buying it? Added on October 21, 2012, 5:54 pmbut he said the car is registered but customer no money to pay downpayment... i also dont understand bro... the plate is WXA... but the interior all still wrapped as new... he say the customer didnt even drive the car... By right, the outlet will only register the car upon full clearance of payment, they should not pre-register the car if the customer had not fully paid up. Very suspicious indeed. Please don't trust the odometer as there are ways to adjust it back to low mileage. If the car is so new, why is the plate number bearing WXA when the running series now is going to WXM? I don't believe the theory on meeting the sales target thing as a reason as this apparent "loss" in depreciation far outweights the the target achievement.

QUOTE(Rolland @ Nov 4 2012, 10:07 AM) Hi, guys. Planning to get my forte in another 2 weeks. I am quite confuse about the Tarikh Buatan and Tarikh Pendaftaran. Should i get the car straight away? or wait to get it in January? As getting it now will have it to consider a car of 2012 while getting in Jan will be car of 2013? Just in case a few years down the road going to trade in and go for other car .Sincerely need sifues's advice :-) My opinion is this. If you plan to use the car for long term i.e 5 years and beyond, then there is no problem buying year make 2012, provided that you get a good deal. However, if you change car as fast as you change your shirt (metaphorically speaking :-) ), then maybe you wanna wait for 2013 make. The price depreciation for difference in year make is quite steep in the initial first few years of ownership. After that, it will taper off , and difference in "losses" is not as significant. In addition, if you have a car to trade-in, you get a better trade off price NOW than to wait till next year.
