Your question is a hyphothetical one. K3, is likely to be priced at least RM10,000 higher than the current Forte, due to the expected enhancement in technology and specs. When the current Forte model is discontinued, and if indeed K3 is priced much higher, do think there is any need to markdown the price for Forte to clear them? By then, stocks for Forte will be limited, and if demand remains reasonably strong, prices do not necessary have to go down.

The Free 3 Year Service is subject to terms and conditions and not a direct ADD-ON to the deal. There is some adjustment to our margin, if you opt for this service package. As for the rate, it is subject to the loan amount, tenure, hirer's financial profile which may differ from case to case etc.

By right, the outlet will only register the car upon full clearance of payment, they should not pre-register the car if the customer had not fully paid up. Very suspicious indeed. Please don't trust the odometer as there are ways to adjust it back to low mileage. If the car is so new, why is the plate number bearing WXA when the running series now is going to WXM?

I don't believe the theory on meeting the sales target thing as a reason as this apparent "loss" in depreciation far outweights the the target achievement.

Not true. Plenty of stock, at least at my side, not sure about other outlets. :-)

My opinion is this. If you plan to use the car for long term i.e 5 years and beyond, then there is no problem buying year make 2012, provided that you get a good deal. However, if you change car as fast as you change your shirt (metaphorically speaking :-) ), then maybe you wanna wait for 2013 make. The price depreciation for difference in year make is quite steep in the initial first few years of ownership. After that, it will taper off , and difference in "losses" is not as significant. In addition, if you have a car to trade-in, you get a better trade off price NOW than to wait till next year.
