Seems just slightly better than normal lens hmm.gif

In terms of image quality, no, the stock is way better (cheap lens used vs CZ lens, no comparison at all brows.gif ).

In terms of attention to detail and bokeh for macro, significant improved, can make use of 38MP in a much closer range for macro shots, i have a new custom version 2.5 (my own numbering) which can take me @ 5cm focal distance for macro. But i ain't gonna share it here, since this is what i received from the audience laugh.gif

In other words, i'll share my project somewhere else for the marco lens smile.gif

Thanks for watching anyway smile.gif Hopefully this wont spoil the sharing experience here.

Yours something like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-0-67x-Wide-An...=item4607c186b0

When travelling, can I stick and remove it easily on the go? Description not very clear.
*
No bro..mine is way cheaper than that, and i mean "Cheap" all the way laugh.gif , its an easy DIY, i use those cheap presbyopia lens (cough biggrin.gif ... can be bought in those fun & cheer shop), then uses tack-it removable adhesive to stick to the phone (no residue, easy to clean, reuseable) brows.gif

The problem is, u have to get used of taking on & off, but for me, worth if you would like to go for some nice bokeh effect without digital zoom/lossless zoom, while getting you closer to your object and preserving some details. And oso compact size when compared to a DSLR lens icon_rolleyes.gif

This DIY method belongs to a master in CARI forum, though sharing among you guys if u get interest in Macro shots...

I dunno why you get so offended over a small thing. No one said you cant do that.

Since you are professional i have to right to explain to you. Maybe in your group friends you and dont understand the meaning of macro and the real capability of macro lens.

Here some samples

Of course i know the minimum focus thing i overcome that on all the mobile phones.

I show you that not to compare how professional you are but to show if you done right it can gives a better result. My dragonfly photo as well not to show how expert you are in macro lens but to show the phone still have it ways to go closer.

You are professional END OF STORY. I dont want to be better than you because you are the best.

Lastly I am sorry for commenting on your professional work. I will improve my skills because its not at par with your skill and to prevent future misunderstanding i wont comment about your professional work in future.

Hope that clarify your confusion.

Funny sifu, since when i mentioned of professionalism on my work? and i dont feel that you have offended me. That is why i clarify my works and my purpose doing it. If i DO feel offended by you, i wont even bother of explaining tongue.gif

My initial start on this project is to share with a little help from a small, easy & cheap DIY Macro lens, it might aid those mobile phones camera which are not good at macro distance. For some source that i gather from the net, it was all started for those phones which has a FIXED focus with it (sealed fate of not able to get macro shots). By using this method, they too can capture some decent macro and enjoying some fun while at it. And this method can be applied to ALL mobile phones, not only to 808 icon_rolleyes.gif

The video you showed me are using proper professional macro lens, not cheap DIY like mine in this case, i already know the weakness of such DIY when compared. Thanks for the reference. smile.gif And i think u get it wrong sifu, this method was never ever started to compete with professional tools, let alone "real capabilities of macro lens".

Like i said earlier, i already know how to go further with the stock camera hardware (even if i have to go down all the way 3MP + maximum loss less zoom). But at the expenses of dissolved details and PureView's supersampling are lost at this stage.

Im not sure why sifu feel so offended by my clarifications, i used other ppl's work as reference (always), not comparison. Im sorry for even bringing these shots to the community notworthy.gif

Yup. alot of ways to enjoying macro creativity (imagine if your cameraphone doesn't comes with auto focus sad.gif ) laugh.gif but i find this is the cheapest way (again, this idea originally from a master in CARI forum, not me)

I oso tried use magnify glass to do, result not that nice~ and abit dizzy if prolong use rclxub.gif

Again, as for FUN only brows.gif
