gyudon is back! it is the Sukiya restaurant! saw this literally *everywhere* in tokyo, and finally see one in malaysia! this restaurant serve gyudon like yoshinoya (which i believe totally chaplap or closed in malaysia), japanese style curry and teriyaki chicken.

the gyudon is, well, MUCH better than yoshinoya, rice are well cooked and saturated with the sauce and flavor is just right! yoshinoya's gyudon was somehow drier in comparison, and the way sukiya prepared the gyudon felt very japanese way where japanese like their rice to be well saturated with sauce yet every bit of rice are well separated and wasn't overcooked and muddy. oh and they serve all miso soup, beef slices and rice piping hot, unlike my previous experiences with yoshinoya where it can be sometimes lukewarm as far as i remember. only thing that's a little disappointed is the miso wasn't flavorful enough, even sushi king's miso soup is better. anyway, i finished whole bowl within few mins lol. and the price is pretty similar like what they charge in japan. but for malaysians, guys will probably only satisfy their tummy with large portion though. i got used to japanese serving size so medium size is just right, and there's small size too.
