i think there is a high percentage that the deal would go through.. just like what you said, they need the money and also, i guess they would try to dispose some other business and make it less diversified and easier to manage?
*
The deal will also benefit Affin but am worried that they will pay a high price because of the personality involved.

got one question, TM capital reimbursement suppose to be paid on the 15/08/12. does this means it will transfer the money out on that date and shareholders have to wait for few days due to bank clearance?

yes, he is my main concern as well.. am afraid the deal would favor him, just like what happened to the recent deals he was involved in

Affin price/book value is less than 1, like a miilion house is sold for 700k.

To buy other bank.maybe need to pay for 2. Meaning paying rm 2m for a rm one m house.

Thats why I went in again for Affin. Paying 2 for crony house is still ok, scared pay 20.

How are they going to finance the deal ? If by share swap then Affin will skyrocket rclxms.gif

I think this is one very old accounting practice  , and I wonder why Panamy still adopts this.

U can test run other listed companies in Bursa, seldom u find one like Panamy.

External auditors would not like to see such practice anyway. They must have valid reasons for that. hmm.gif

Not saying it is a wrong one, just  a bit like having a green screen  phone today. Kinda rare hmm.gif

a boss with more than 1 business can easily 'turn' with cash at hand ... one of the most traditional methods to keep things afloat without leaving proof and get 'caught'.

some beer smugglers were caught red handed during the transfer of goods located at Sabah and Sarawak water territory. no more 3 tins for $11 Heneiken, lesser now 2 tins for $9. i think temporary only cause the retailers will have to restock soon or later.

esettlement is for you deposit money to settle your buy transaction.
edeposit is for you to deposit money into trust account

actually both around the same, you can use edeposit to offset the buy transaction also can.
the different is esettlement will transfer the exact transaction amount, while edeposit can transfer any amount as you wish.

if your trust account has 50k, you bought a share worth 30k................you no need do anything, 3 days later will automatic pick up your share and deduct from trust money
