Keep iPads away from children. Give them Legos instead.

iPad can be a real powerful Educational device for toddler and kids, just depends on how you let them handling the device itself.

To TS: Apple will not accept Physical Damage for warranty and they may offer you to exchange another one by paying 1K+. You can try some 3rd party who do idevice repair services searching at lowyat.net or iMalaysian.com coz their price may definately cheaper.

iPads will make kids lazy. I prefer Legos so they can learn the basic building blocks.

Rather, give them this.

Then tell them: if 3 months later, the set still look as good as new, only then will you consider buying them an iPad.

meh. You never seen before so you assumed it doesn't exist?
It's a matter of discipline on a parents control and manage the way of their kids to utilise the iPad instead of just games. In fact it's beyond our control to download any Apps into the iPad and we can lock it as well to prevent any accessible to any specific Apps.
My daughter started to fiddle my iPad when she was just 20 months old, then I installed some kids Rhymes Apps and Alphabet Learning Apps so she can play around with it. Soon we realise she able to pronounce and differentiate the whole 26 Alphabet and even the names of colours after 2 months. When she was just 2 and a half years old, she able to write from A-Z coz I have installed some Apps that have guides on how to write an Alphabet.
To me, I am quite satisfied since it does provide the basic Education to my daughter with her age and I still think it's a Powerful Educational Tools for kids, preferable you know how to control and utilise the iPad.
