QUOTE(TamiyaOne @ Aug 14 2012, 09:40 PM) just found out rooted phone + wananlite can up date camera firmware by Key in *#34971539# Camera Firmware and press Update it I took a screenshot to confirm this works. Tested with Wanamlite version 2.2 rom, and Siyah version 1.5RC1 kernel.![]() QUOTE WanamLite v.19 - XXBLG6 ROM is GREAT! What is NEW in XXBLG6: - Forward/Backward icon on stock Internet browser. - New Camera Firmware. (Dial *#34971539# checking and update). - 100% confirm completely fixed song playback clicking noise issue. I notice it is more bass and louder now. - Remove Universal search, thanks to crap Apple. But you can simply put back and thanks Wanam putting back this function. - Overall UI is much smoother for me. Recommended update, alone the Song Playback Clicking Noise Fixed is worth the updates already. |

2g consumes less power than 3g, but has lower performance. and the exact opposite for 3g.
go to settings > mobile network > Access Point Names I believe you can toggle 2g/3g there Or better yet use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...e=search_result or this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...e=search_result This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Aug 14 2012, 10:33 PM |

QUOTE(ChipZ @ Aug 14 2012, 10:34 PM) for all intents and purposes, stock firmware just works and is good...HOWEVER thirdparty roms such as the very popular wanamlite, uses the stock rom and modify it as little as possible. They add features, bug fixes/tweaks, and best of all REMOVE BLOATWARE which suck up power and are crapware besides. If that isn't enough reason to use wanamlite i don't know what else to say If you do decide to flash, google the youtube guides which show you exactly what to do step by step. Actually on wanamlite xda forum thread there is a video showing how to install. So carefully watch those before you simply do without doing the necessary info gathering first. PS: you need to root your phone first, before you can install thirdparty roms. so google how to unroot first. This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Aug 14 2012, 10:39 PM |

QUOTE(Zhao @ Aug 14 2012, 10:37 PM) i recommend you to do more reading before doing so. Thanks for the info. But I guess when u root, u r actually replacing the current stock ROM with a custom ROM (Wanamlite in this case). So I can either choose to upgrade to the latest BLH1 stock firmware or flash Wanamlite? Please correct me if I'm wrongroot is root, vanamlite is custom rom. both are different thing. |
