QUOTE(dares @ Aug 5 2012, 02:15 PM) Translated. agreed with dares. You mean when you come down over the roadbump, the front end sink down and hit the raised manhole cover, it pushes your bumper up, then proceeds to damage your undercarriage. That access hatch must be really tall means that hatch is really really high.. coz our flx ride height is quite high compared to the farkin wiga.. |

QUOTE(zeone @ Aug 6 2012, 05:49 AM) Hi Bro... Ah.. good advice. Thanks so muchFyi me hv used this method b4, too. Simple, easier way to get a good proper tap. This sp "wire tapper" cuts thru the insulation of the wires to get a good contact & is cover-protected from accidental shorting. Ole way is to manually strip part of insulation of 1st wire to join the 2nd wire to it. Most ppl now juz push in the 2nd wire into socket of connector of the 1st wire...NO "cutting" at all!! anyway, doesn't the method that "clip" the 2 wires together as shown in the video considered at cutting wire? like that won't woid warranty kah? QUOTE(lhwj @ Aug 8 2012, 01:52 AM) Correct. You need not drive until empty. Even if the tank is half empty you may still fill it up. The only thing you must do is fill full to the brim. That's all. lhwj kind enough to share how to "fill full to brim"? coz the nozzle always jumps.. and i think i read before on fb saying that what continue filling after the nozzle jump will actually suck out the petrol? it's like a anti-reflux/safety feature like that? and some says that after the jump, need to pull out the nozzle a bit and fill the petrol like pouring beer like that.. slow slow so no foam will form (in petrol it's of course vapour lar) This post has been edited by calvin_kenni: Aug 8 2012, 02:00 AM |

QUOTE(lhwj @ Aug 8 2012, 02:14 AM) Preliminaries: find a pump that doesn't shoot like crazy on the lowest setting. The BHP station near my place is notorious for that, every time I try and fill to the brim it will overflow. A flow rate of about 0.3L/s is ideal. Most Petronas and Caltex stations do fine. I will not try Shell. Haven't pumped Mobil and Esso for ages, and I haven't tried Petron yet. ah this is gooding info.. will try next time.. thanks so much 1. Set the flow rate at the lowest setting. 2. Let the pump run until the nozzle trips. 3. Wait about 10 seconds. 4. Very gently squeeze the trigger until it trips again. This technique is easier said than done. Try and fill at a quiet station so you can hear the hose leading to the petrol tank filling up. 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the nozzle trips immediately when you squeeze it. Then your tank should be full to the brim. You can normally squeeze in about 2 litres between the first and final trip. It doesn't seem much but if your consumption is 10L/100km, that 2 litres can give you an additional 20 km of range. That is important to me because I don't like visiting petrol stations and if I can squeeze a few extra miles while keeping the consumption, I will. Filling to the brim is crucial otherwise your fill-ups will have a large margin of error, giving you figures which are better than the real one. |

QUOTE(lhwj @ Aug 8 2012, 02:22 AM) Here's how Fuelly works. You start off with a full tank. You note the odo reading or reset your trip meter. Then you drive until the next fill. How is Fuelly going to calculate your consumption? Since you started off with a full tank, the quantity consumed is the difference between the full tank and the current level, which is the amount you can fill in till full. So Fuelly takes that difference and divides it by the distance. so full tank in gaga 1.3 mt executive is 30L?Say you start with a full tank. You drive 300 km, then you fill only 10 litres although a full tank means 30 litres. So Fuelly will think that you drove 300 km on only 10 litres. Hence you must always fill to the brim, each and every single time. i thought the service book wrote 40L? |
