Not many of us here are pure coders and hackers. ROM manager is just an easy tool for beginners. It does state 'use at your own risk' warning. As for the .nomedia issue. It can also appear in android folder. Some found it in the Media folder. It varies. So for those fellow users of ROM manager, do update to the latest version as it includes fix for JB.

Sorry, noob here. I need help in rooting. Im using nexus toolkit v7.8.0. Already unlocked bootloader but when im choose to root, it reboots my phone and asked me to enable usb debugging. I already enable it but the toolkit didnt proceed and stuck at "Waiting for USB debugging to be enabled" icon_question.gif

if u ask me Gnex toolkit is much easier and way better in doing those....

this is why most of us recommending Gnex toolkit aall the time to do rooting and flashing stuff for beginner

and yet doh.gif

Tried countless time but still cannot. Even tried to plug out usb cable and replug also cant. Is it driver problem?

if u have unlocked bootloader successfully using the toolkit, then driver should be fine, try another port and see

im not good with Gnex toolkit since i don use it doh.gif

Yup installed cwm touch but it came out to be stock recovery. I read the instruction and they said that root explorer is needed to mount the system folder. Now the prob is i cant root. cry.gif any sifu can help me?

because the stock recovery is overwriting the CWM..u nid root explorer to remove it so next time u flshed it wont replace with stock one...

downlaod this
and put it to ur phone..

for now, flash CWM agn and reboot into CWM flsh the file....u should have root edi brows.gif

yes....now ur CWM should be overwritten agn.....so u know wat to do brows.gif

remove the recovery file that is in the sys folder using root explorer and reflash CWM and it should be permanent


do rmb to open superSU and update the binary file
