Leave it unlock. If u lock then unlock again all data will be erase again..
No problem to received update..

Just leave it unlock. If you lock it back, the next time you need to root/flash factory image etc, you need to unlock it again. That means your phone will be completely EMPTY again.
I think you won't want that happen.

You should never LOCK it back.
Unlock and Lock do involve risk, even it's very little(no need to concern).

However, it's useless to LOCK it back. Because you can still use your phone like NORMAL(receiving updates, etc).

You'll need to LOCK it back when send to RMA(Warranty). Else, leave it.

If you have cwm which I assume u have since u r on 4.1, the update will fail
