Just came back from JB. I noticed JB has a more vibrant cycling culture. First time spotted a group of 'chopper' cyclists. Those bikes with fat tires. But almost anywhere in JB you can see people riding branded cycles not XDS, Nexus, Exitway which are abundant in KL.
