From years 2007 onwards?
Anyone experience breakdowns?
I heard a lot of forumers here talking about this iafm?

so major problem. but expect minor tikus rattling in car.
hahaha~~my car is 2009. now clocked 76k km.

After 100+ km since my 20k km service with Liqui Moly, this is what I have experienced:

1. Engine definitely quieter.
2. Easier to reach 170km/h.
3. No difference in responsiveness. Maybe need to drive a few hundred km to let the Mos2 additive set in.
4. No difference in FC yet. Even if there is, it could be due to the new plugs and air filter.
*
hmm, easier to reach 170kmh is compare to??
previously what engine oil you use??
you changed iridium plug and work filter??

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jul 29 2012, 09:38 PM)
First time I drove to outstation using my Persona.

Filled up the NGV tank from my house at Puchong. Drove all the way until Ipoh (233KM), still having some gas remaining. Then refilled at Tasek station, RM10.71. Awesome, full journey with gas and it's cheap!

Whacking 120-160KM/h all the way without a feel of pain in the wallet. This is my highest speed attempted to far, still plenty throttle space more available but I am driving my parents and grandmother; safety first.
*
wow~~hows the engine noise at 160kmh??
perfect man. the NGV. so nice. should invent the hybrid version of NGV + petrol.
hahaha~~when wacking the car both petrol and NGV give power, when driving normally onlu use NGV.
the idea not bad rite biggrin.gif
mean on highway, NGV can travel up to more than 250km per tank??
gosh, thats a lot.

Added on July 30, 2012, 2:44 amanyone got experience on extreme fnf on highway lets say from JB to KL?

Never been too extreme, but at times, I do travel Johor Bahru to Seremban at 150-160..
*
wow~~our car stability.
btw, from my experience, three hour or a bit lesser, with a bit of traffic on highway mean doing 160 then need to brake till 90 only then full throttle, the whole trip from JB to KL used 1 tank. i think our campro really made for high rev. haha~~is acceptable to have such fc at such excitement.

previously on the official syntium 800; struggle to reach 170 after 160.now reach 180 also quite easy...plug and filter still proton stock only change to new ones after major service.
*
thats for sure. the syntium 800 wont be as good.
but then i dont think FC will change much as new stock plug and filter wont have big change.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jul 30 2012, 08:20 AM)
Engine noise at 160km/h can be heard but nothing annoying. Btw, I'm using Liqui-Moly with Ceratec.

My NGV system can do that, auto switch to petrol upon certain RPM range. But configuration is made to run NGV all the way.

With conservative driving, I think 250KM is possible
*
wow~~so mean when you rev you will be using petrol. thats a good one.

QUOTE(arayz @ Jul 30 2012, 10:33 AM)
so it is recommended to use liquid molly for PE? 10-40?
as for gas? petronas 95 ok?
*
the tested for more km by other members are castrol magnatec, Cusco, and caltex engine oil. no complain and now i think some member still using. I personally use Caltex Fully synthetic.
for petrol, review by personarian is petronas best FC, esso better power, caltex nice to rev, shell is shit.

Proton don't recommend using Liqui-Moly. They claim it's for diesel engine.
Nice, any space to squeeze me in? laugh.gif
They allow, I bring Liqui-Moly on 2nd service.
Yes, can be done easily with sequential injection system.

jus wanted to ask whether is it normal to change brake pad twice in one n half yr duration?

my car is Bronze Garnet BL (AT) Elegance (Nov 2010)
*
for me no. i am not sure about B-line and M-line coz the braking different.
maybe need more power to stop the car. but changing that frequently means you are braking quite hard most of the time i suppose.
but i only change once. mine is h-line.
if you are using stock pad, why not try to use high performance pad?

how many of you guys sent your car to SC until the warranty ends.. i am nearing the 15k mileage, and im starting to evaluate whether to continue to send to sc or not.. the price that sc charges seems quite ridiculuos.. especially during the 20k service, which is rm500++.. shakehead.gif
*
i do sent it until the warranty ends. lucky i do. as your never know what to claim.
try to opt out something that is not needed for the service. will be cheaper i guess.
i think my most expensive service is around 480.
my warranty also over now XD servicing outside is cheaper. but the extra money is used to buy fully synthetic.

i sent to CoSE at shah alam. but their service is very bad. keep complaining same problem but still can't solve til now.
warranty also going to end soon which i'm quite worry to pay a lot to repair for future. even they change my brake disc n pad they can give back me my car without checking the alignment. plus the brake now need to press more if not no brake. n they still can called me up told me i have check EVERYTHING as i left my car there for 2 days cause they said wan to check PROPERLY to confirm everything is OK.
i have tried few RON95 n i tink caltex works better. and i do agree that RON97 have better performance. but i tink my car have something like the ts prob. mayb i should try change to RON97 and c how it works.
change another service centre. easy. or you will just rugi.
i believe everyone here will tell you there is no need to pump RON97.
but yes if you have that cash. when i have extra to spend i do pump RON97. it is smoother, but only can feel on high rev above 4k. power wise also. so normally if i pump RON97, i am fnf-ing.
More than 90% of the population use RON95 and most of them didn't have the problem like that.
You think the oil company will open themselves to the whole country to shoot them.
B line and M line brakes memang tak makan based on the feedbacks here. Dun change brake pads at SC. They really potong you one. As for brake sounds, can describe the problem? Screeching like mad everytime you pressed the brakes whether softly or very hard?
no idea. haha~~not saying about the TS car problem, is someone that says RON95 make his car aircond not cold, car leak oil, this and that. i wonder how is it related. not all SC potong lah. but maybe is 90% will potong. hahaha~~at least mine din potong me.
i don't really brake hard cause i don't like to do that. usually i will brake slowly.
since 1 or 2 months i bought the car, there are several brake sounds until recently proton change my brake disc.
i have been visited proton once a month bcos of the brake. then after the first 9months they said brake pad finish.
so i change it. they said after change no sound. but after 2 to 3 weeks the sound come back.
then recently i went there again and they said brake pad finish again. i make a complain so they just said brake disc prob. change my brake disc.

what is high performance pad? i don't really know bout car.
common problem , dont think any solution from that. when its new the sound cant hear but after few month sure got sound. xD

What do you expect from proton car?
hahaha, dun say like that, mine one year only got sound XD
How come the quoting now cacat one?
sometime i think is line problem.
just i think. haha, no prove de.~~but then if my line not good i reply also like that.
mine previously makan wan..everyone drive will said very makan..jus tat after they change not makan dy..so have to bring back to fix again..sometimes the brake is eeee sounds..sometimes is when drive fast n stop will have a very loud sound duno how to describe..
Means bosch brand not good?
after change the brake disc for half month now still ok..will c ltr..

I didn't expect more from them but recently they only told me the prob is the brake disc cause bengkok dy so will cut off the brake pad more..tats y my brake pad need to change so fast n got sound..so I have complain for 1 n half yr but now only they said this is the prob? N I have to pay double the cost..
Usually is eeee but sometimes got some different sound but not the brake pad hangus sound also..now reverse also got some weird sound n turning the steering time also same..
you try to bring to another SC. sometimes all this rotor bengkok or something is just what they say. sometimes not even true. just want cut your throat. the eee sound is quite normal for a lot of car. maybe not the famous T & H. if turning wheel to max got grinding sound i dont think is a problem, because all the previous car i drive including my dad volvo now have the sound. but if you say during turning not max turning, mine got sound also. i think is the steering there. it just rubbing again each other.
bosch is too expensive. but not true to say is not good.

If its the 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' sound when braking... no need worry so much... I've been driver over a year plus with that sound... only telinga sakit...

But if got 'kreaaooaoakeoekokkkk' sound... most likely your brake pad hangus de...
lol~~i tot only me experienced the 'kreaaooaoakeoekokkkk' sound. just buy those like RS brake pad. save money. hahaha~~
Other cars also have the sound leh when braking. You dun want sound then use those soft brake pads without metallic compound but your braking distance will increase lo. Up to you to decide.
Did they charge you the cost for the brake disc? Should be under warranty, right?
ceramic can decrease the sound rite?? but i tot the braking distance is ok??

2) Front tyre got very soft "Eeeee" sound while cruising, once i step on brake it gone, release brake it came back
3) Passenger side above aircond vent got sound like wind is coming in thru a hole while cruising above 120km/h

It's a new car but problem came so quickly, kinda disappointed sad.gif
