Need help, please.

I'm a new user of UMobile Mifi ZTE MF 60. Everytime when I want to get connected, I must use the USB cable and plug-in into my laptop. Is this the right way.

I was told I don't have to use the USB cable. Just power on the modem and you're connected. But when I powered on, the screen says PIN LOCK. How do I unlock the pin on the modem?
*
nope, that mifi should be STAND ALONE usage

pin lock easy, you just put the sim into any phone, and set it the SIM UNLOCK, the default password is 1234, just set it unlock, it will ask, then put 1234 ok already cool2.gif

RM38...
1000MB, 60mins (can carry fwd to next mth? free SMS ?)

RM28 - RM4.50 (15% rebate) = RM23.50 - RM2.50 (5% rebate top-up via jackcow.com) = RM21
500MB, 100mins & 30 SMS (balance can carry fwd to next mth up to 200mins & 60 SMS)
*
lets calculate as this way

we count with tunetalk call rate for both

100min = RM 15, 30sms = RM 2.4

RM 21- RM 15 - RM 2.4 = Rm 3.6 for 500mb

RM 38 - (60 min) RM 9 = RM 29 for 1gb

RM 29 for 1gb or RM 3.6 for 500mb ? whistling.gif

but extra RM 10 got 75mins, cool2.gif

QUOTE(BBXiong @ Oct 18 2012, 09:55 PM)
ok, i know it might be stupid to ask here, cos all uMobile and i hope u all don't flame me ya..

Currently my digi contract just ended, due to the bad coverage and turtle internet, i wanna change, was looking in maxis or umobile now, just asking, how is the reception quality( call, sms, internet stability ), and what is the average speed for these areas: Bandar Utama, Bandar Sunway, Bukit tinggi klang

if it's gooding, i'll go change tomorrow liao i think
*
may check back all conversation we have, not 100% perfect but also 100% better than digi

i know i can read back, but I'm in the middle of some coding now, maybe i'll read back around tomorrow to get a better idea.

before that I'd like ask a few more specific questions, if you don't mind answering me, cos i think quick read might miss them. How is the reception indoor, say ground floor of a 5-7 floor flat, normally DiGi would have 0 signal at all unless i am near a window or door, maxis as i recall still have, but not sure about internet speed, as my parents doesnt use data.

Other then that, the feedback i heard on uMobile data is that, although the speedtest result might seem high, but only a few popular sites loads as fast, the rest will not be as fast as the speed test result for some reason( most likely bandwidth optimization problem ).

My concern is at least getting stable edge so that i can whatsapp indoor, and as long as my call not like digi, putus putus a bit like that, vomit blood one  doh.gif
*
WHATSAPP IS ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM edge or 3g also nice

if you recall the ex conversation, you would be advised to buy a prepaid sim from 7-11 RM 8 to test it out few day, inside got 5 credits to let u test gao gao for few days, then only make your decision cool2.gif

I oso went by 7e today and saw the banner. I was afraid UM decided to revise the plan, but thank god we now have 2 options!! I myself like umi28 better because I need the free mins. I can suggest the umi18 for my students to use.
*
but pretty sure, U28 + POSTPAID TALK PLUS RM 8 for 80mins to all others operator are much more attractive

Lol nice try to poison  tongue.gif  but I dont wanna be attach to any postpaid. Plus the free minutes and smses I get from umi28 still have like 60% left. Usually bring forward, every month also tak habis gune. RM30 for calls + sms + internet per month, man I'm set.

Added on October 21, 2012, 12:40 pm
Your UMI can be deactivated through USSD Menu Browser at *118# or via SMS (“Stop Umi 18” or “Stop Umi 28”,) and send to 28118
*
i am not poisoning but just to compare it, thats true with the package we pay less for what we get cool2.gif
you still left 60% of mins and sms meaning you are still losing more money than you should

RM 18 to get 25min and 250mb data, plus 15min call = RM 2.7 so only cost you less than RM 23

UMI 28 = 500mb, -100min cost RM 18, -30sms cost RM 2.4
500mb= RM 7.6
1mb = RM0.0152

UMI 18 = 250mb, -25min cost RM 4.5
250mb = RM 13.5
1mb = RN 0.054

u28 = 1gb, -300sms cost RM 19
1gb = RM 9
1mb = 0.0088

then if some1 using 800 min but 250 sms per month ?
UMI 28 cost RM 28 + RM 16 = RM 44 with 500mb

U28 + add on RM 8 = RM 36
got it ?

I still have several questions about the U Mobile. Is it the U Mobile not support for international roaming? Just double confirm it~ unsure.gif  I'm using U Mobile prepaid. Usually do business between Malaysia and Brunei there.

Very DAMN I cannot receive incoming call/sms or even cannot perform outgoing call/sms when I travel to Brunei. It's just show "Emergency Call ONLY" when I travel to Brunei.  mad.gif

Or is it need to activate the International Roaming? Who can help me to activate it?  cry.gif
Every guys, please help me~ icon_question.gif

Thanks a lot~

I may be wrong, but I do think that in the tax laws the cellphones (and anything that uses simcards) are not categorized as "computers".

Which means, Umobile postpaid (or Maxis, Celcom, Digi, XOX) are not eligible for the RM500 once-every-five-year tax redemption
*
as what i being told by the internal staff from umobile, only BROADBAND , MB68 and MB128 applicable on tax relief

that's why they are called "MB" but U28 U58 U88 are not

*
but seriously 64 k and 128 k really no big difference, only available for whatsapp, small email, nothing else cool2.gif so we need to control our demand on the data supplied

hahaha

then he must think that all telco are BUSUK 1

since free 100 mins not 6000seconds

you use 1sec also count 0.5 min, so if you are so LUCKY that 200 times 1sec to finish the 100mins, then you only get 3 mins more free cool2.gif

Is it just me or does anyone also face the problem of contacting the customer service? I had called for like an hour yet not a damn thing I got.

Anyway, hi CnY Garage. I just subscribed the MB128 last month. It turned out that my monthly charges account for advance access fee and access fee, which amounts to RM256. Can u explain what is that about?
*
let say you subscribe on 1/ september, FULL month = RM 128, then advance fee RM 128 is october charge lo,
meaning you PRE pay your billl 1 month, so if you wanna terminate this month would be no extra charge

QUOTE(coolstore @ Oct 31 2012, 01:19 PM)
hahaha, no phone pickup after 5min i already put down phone. u wait 1 hour?  biggrin.gif

they are now having more kiosk sitted in shopping complex now, u can visit them also.

now seems more aggressive by umobile, thanks to new ceo?

haha can not ask them refer me let me do business meh brows.gif
hehe not dare to say i m most knowledgeable la but most of the question i can answer better than customer service

Not that I didn't hang up, 3mins of voice operator is already enough to turn me off. I called several time within hour I mean. The customer service is in my blacklist now.

Thanks CnY Garage. In fact I registered it near the end of September, let's say 25th Sept, why I'm still charged for one whole month?
*
1st month is pro rated

25-31 = 6 days

((6/31 * 28)+ 3 )+6% = your bill

mnp with me entitled 1st 5months 15% bill discount cool2.gif
