Thanks for the info guys.
Just got the prepaid plan signed up.
It takes a few minutes in 7-11.
RM8 for the simpack then RM5 inside, use it for the daily plan and do the test.
So far the results is, in paya terubong area, i am certain to receive edge only network.
Then in farlim area, I got 3g and hsdpa signal, the speed is amazing.
A lot faster than digi hsdpa, my phone can only support 7.2mbps so in umobile i got max around 2.7mbps.
I got about 1.5mbps while using Digi network.

Most likely will switch to umobile tomorrow after work.
*
unfortunately still some places not in 3g, but still hoping guys can enjoy it

Hi,

I just found out that my postpaid (U28) bill is still outstanding eventhough i made the payment 2 weeks ago in August.

The payment was made in umobile website using my credit card. My credit card statement already shown the transaction made but umobile website is still showing as outstanding.

already complained to umobile but so far no news.

Can you guys advise on this?
*
either call to customer service or go any umobile shop and provide IC number and umobile number to check

QUOTE(11768 @ Sep 4 2013, 06:51 AM)

FOR data with phone really less problem la bro, may really your area problem
or the sim card problem, try exchange a new 1 with center and see how

UMobile Big Small eye one la.............

Service Centers can do anything as they wish, as for Dealers this cannot that cannot. Really not fair to Dealers,

The total business that Service Centers brought in is less than the combined business of all the Dealers brought in.
*
ya, very disappointed everytime, customer request to upgrade or downgrade : CANT , wanna sign SP68 or PHONE package with 2 existing umobile prepaid : CANT,

MB68 upgrade into MB128 : CANT

QUOTE(lotsofzing @ Sep 16 2013, 03:17 PM)
that's why need 2 numbers.
Don't understand why umobile won't give roaming. Can attract more customers right?
*
that MORE doesn't mean ENOUGH for the extra cost, don't think that u mobile got enough capital to do so much for now.

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Sep 16 2013, 05:32 PM)
Maybe U Mobile feel tat most of the customers use very less in prepaid. Imagine customer A in his/her prepaid balance not more than RM30, there is no point U Mobile launched roaming to other country (Except Singapore), am I rite? cool2.gif

Plus U mobile focus in Malaysia and Singapore market, but very curiously why don't open roaming in Brunei and Thailand? whistling.gif  It's very near Malaysia aa~ yawn.gif

It still can attract most customers, bcoz of the data plan, it is unlimited neh... Bt once kena quota, the speed will slow down.  blush.gif Not like DiGi, Celcom or even Maxis, including Tune Talk and XoX XinXun, they straight away "terminate" or charge as "pay per use" once u reach the quota..  shakehead.gif

I use the U Mobile around 2 years, I'm still waiting for roaming in Brunei there. But seems like U Mobile marketing department don't do improve or launched for this roaming country, very soon I gonna to MNP to XoX XinXun. blush.gif  It's very attractive MNP to XoX XinXun straight away 28 months account active. I not need every month keep top-up to stay active my account. icon_idea.gif
*
unsure.gif better check clearly o, i think they still need some top up within the period one

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 16 2013, 07:10 PM)
very simple.

U Mobile's 33% is owned by Singapore Technologies Telemedia (STT) <-- which in turn owned by Temasek Holding.

StarHub, Singapore is part of STT.

so, it's logical that Umobile <-> Starhub enabled the cross-country roaming.

http://www.starhub.com/content/promotions/...eenprepaid.html
http://www.u.com.my/prepaid-packages/prepaid-roaming

umobile customers roam to singapore, will latch on to starhub network and its local call rate. vice versa, starhub customers roam to malaysia, will latch on to umobile network and its local rate.
umobile couldnt enable roaming to other countries because of realtime roaming billing & charging system is not available.

why postpaid have roaming? cuz charging is not realtime, and uses different system.
*
thanks for the sharing,
just for extra information, postpaid do have roaming with just paying RM 300 as deposit cool2.gif

hi all,
i have a very strange problem on my iphone 4 (ios7) with u mobile. it always give me gprs network even though i already enable the 3g setting in the phone. while change the sim car to my s3, i can get H+ network in the same location.

i try to set the APN network manually but it still does not help at all. Anyone facing the same problem?
*
what i understand is : replace a new SIM card with center, probably helps

Guys I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but can I bypass the quota for u-mobile prepaid plan by using vpn??
*
nope so far not yet, still maxis and celcom skmm more prefered

QUOTE(epo @ Sep 26 2013, 03:39 PM)
Anyone can confirm this ? CnY Garage , digilife
Who aldy exceeded 500mb quota, what's ur speedtest now ?
*
u mean after 500mb quota they will start using the extra 50% data free?

that extra data for 1st week of renewal only, it is just like the BOOSTER of broadband package but with 7 days validity

this 1 i m not sure that 1st week after renewed u use up the FREE DATA 1st or the 500mb 1st, but pretty sure after 1 week and 500mb used up = 64kbps less
