1. When I was a kid, my father and my mum was driving back to our village in Mukah at night. That time, it took almost half a day to reach Mukah from Miri by road.

I was sitting at the back, and the clock is showing 21:30. We were listening to oldies songs from the cassette player as there were still no CD that time. My father's Nissan Bluebird still holding up nicely, despite its old age, as expected from Nissan engineering. The road is a palm road, and it was riny earlier, so the road was muddy (it was still not paved, Janji still not Ditepati that time).

So in the distance, we saw a figure waving at us on the left side of the road. Long hand, reaching almost to the middle of the road. It was about 100m ahead. As we got closer, we realised that the figure was exceptionally tall, as tall as a coconut tree, black with skinny body, its body bending and waving with the left hand as if trying to hitch a ride. I could only muttered "Ah" while my father press the pedal to the floor. We got to destination much sooner, while the cassette player has stopped playing by itself.

I was 6 years old.

2. Shorter story this time. Not in Malaysia, but in Brunei, the old road heading to Tutong from Belait. The car was overheating, and it was 11 at night. So we family decided to stop by the road, under a banyan tree to cool down the engine. We fell asleep soon after.

You know the feeling when you feel like lifted up in the air? Well in my case, the car got lifted up. There was a road light in front of us, and I'm sure the bulb is right in front of the car that time. It was all dark at the side and back window. My mum shouted "Ok we are leaving! Please put us down I got a kid back here!" I did not cry that time. The thing, whatever it is, put us down gently, and we start our journey again.

I was 7 years old.

Got some hostel stories too as I was SBP and Uitm student but maybe later.

Fatal Frame. Damn scary ghost went through wall.

Fuh lift kat UiTM tu ye? Aku pernah kena, tp masa tu tak tau cerita. Takda org cerita kat aku pun sampai aku habis belajar sekalipun.

Masa tu aku pergi tingkat yang org selalu buat research tu, yang byk komputer. Dah petang la mcm pkl 4 camtu. Sedar2 dah lewat ptg, pukul 5.30 kot. Aku turun la ikut lift tu.

Time dlm lift takde pape pun. Sekali dah sikit lagi nak sampai ground floor, aku teringat aku tertinggal matrix card kat tempat kasut sb slalu aku gantung. Naya woo kalau takde card haha!

Aku pun tekan la tingkat tu balik. Haa masa ni la yang tak best. Asal floor je mesti lift berhenti bukak pintu. Mula2 tak rasa ape lagi. Tapi dah semua floor dia bukak, aku diam je la last2. Habis berdiri dah bulu roma aku.

Dah sampai floor tu, aku cepat2 ambik matrix card, blah ikut tangga. Biar la jauh pun. Dah sampai bawah dan nampak org sikit2 kat dataran menara tu, baru lega. Hehe.

Sekolah rendah aku SRB St. Patrick. Sekolah ni built tahun 1905 oleh seorang Reverend dari Holland tak silap aku. Sebelahnya ada SMB St. Patrick. Tapi tu masa dulu la. Jepun pernah nak robohkan tapi dia tgk sayang pulak sb ada padang bola saiz besar utk askar2 dia beriadah.



Masa 'Burung Hantu' session, yang kene tinggal sorang2 tu, ada yang tak bertuah kene la hilang pulak. Serius hilang sampai la esok pagi tgk2 ada kat padang sekolah. Aku rasa start bila ntah diorang bila nak buat burung hantu, panggil ramai volunteer utk jaga sorang student satu. Batch aku sikit je, mcm 50 org mcm tu.
Kawan aku nampak bebola api terapung2 dengan selamba melintasi padang sekolah.

Ok la, ini kisah masa aku sekolah sbp.

Pada suatu malam, lebih kurang pukul 2 pagi, aku telah mengalami sakit perut yang aku pasti kalau kentut, pasti cairan cokelat yang keluar. Maka aku pun terus capai tuala dan bergerak ke tandas.

Cerita pasal sekolah ni sikit. Sekolah tu kira baru lagi, built in 1990. Kawasan berpaya tepi pantai. Cerita ni tahun 2000. Masa sekolah mula2 bukak, ada banyak makhluk halus sebab dah nama pun dekat pantai kan? Tapi lama2 dah takda, occasional sightings dan histeria ada la.

Aku ni dikenali jenis berani. Kalau ada ular ke binatang pelik2 ke, aku la disuruh handle. Teman pergi toilet apatah lagi. Nak pergi tandas dari bilik aku kena melintas 3 lagi bilik. Harus igt, ni ground floor. Kebetulan pula malam itu bulan cahayanya terang sekali. Di bilik terakhir tu bilik MT(Majlis Tertinggi). Aku pandang la tepi tingkap dia. Kemudian....

Aku masuk tandas paling dekat dgn pintu masuk toilet. Tgh meneran tu(mmg explosive, minimal meneran la), aku fikir balik.

"Eh, langsir bilik MT kan kaler biru gelap? Bila masa pulak diorang tukar kaler putih?"

Time balik tu, aku jln cepat sikit, sempat la toleh balik. Dah kaler hitam balik(biru gelap bila mlm jadi hitam la kan?) tingkap tu. Aku tido berselimut tak tido2 lepas tu.

Aku teringat yang seorang MT tu pernah ckp, ada lembaga selak selimut dia(pasal dia jenis tidur cover muka dgn selimut) masa nak masuk azan subuh. Benda tu tiup2 muka sampai la dia bgn. Dah bangun tu dia terkejut tgk muka benda tu hitam berbulu tp lepas tu hilang.

Dan ada lagi satu room mate aku nampak ada benda kurus hitam bertenggek kat ampaian betul2 tepi tingkap dia. Tgh perati dlm bilik kitorang pulak tu. Dum dum dum!
