after 1.5 years exp, you should be no different with degree holder. Just request at least 2k (or higher) from your boss.
Your boss don't offer you, then I believe you can get it in somewhere.

Age: 24
Job Description : Audit Semi-Senior but also handle SME company tax and accounts
Years spent in company : 2 year 10 months
Company : Small firm
Tenure : Permanent
Experience before joining : Fresh
Education Level : Diploma + partial ACCA qualification (left last 2 papers)

there is another 2 months before my package will be revised again. My boss already mentioned, hoping me to stay and get my ACCA membership, and then he will promote me again..however i'm kinda bored with the jobs now..and the point is i feel that i did almost everything (small company, bungkus semua) and im still stuck in the situation(non-competitive environment) which i think that this brings no advantage for my career life..sighh should i stay? anyway the benefit is i feel very comfortable in this company and it is located near to my house..
*
It is good to try out different company to have different experience. If you can get a better offer like 30-40% increment on top of your salary after promoted, you may give a try. Else, stay with current company.
Money is very important especially you jump ship to a new company and you found that you don't like the new company.

As there is a chinese saying, a person compare with another person will eventually die. If both person the same age work as the same position but one is skillfull and the other is not. Can they have the same salary?
*
If under a same company, they are not suppose to have the same salary. The more skillful person should get the higher pay.

But many other factors can affect the salary such as relationship between bosses, politic skill, experience, etc.

Some ppl might not be very skillful but they have valuable experience on big project, so they got higher salary.

Contract got EPF?

If without EPF, then your salary is standard. If with EPF, then should be above market rate.

thanks  tongue.gif
let say im not an extraordinary person where i can get a very big hop in salary every time i jump, wats the normal salary increasing rate? 10%? 20%? 30%? just want to know how the market rate work  tongue.gif
i see some ppl said 30% for each hop, 30% for me seems like too over.
*
For software engineer/network engineer/system analyst, 30% increment is normal if your salary is still below 10k.
Just imagine 3k +30% is only 3.9k
4k + 30% is only 5.2k

If salary below 10k, I expect minimum 10% increment yearly. At least 20% for promotion.
So for a jump, at least 30%.

So far, i do get my expected increment. smile.gif

Don't just look at the salary for your first job. Look for the job that you prefer and which career you prefer.

hi everyone, just wondering what can u get for a job if fresh graduate from Bachelor's Degree in International Business? and also the current market salary for it, thanks smile.gif
*
Many jobs you can get such as management trainee, analyst/consultant in different industry, operation jobs, marketing jobs, etc.

Many companies provides training to fresh graduates so don't really matter what you study. If your result is good, speaks well in English, good attitudes and don't ask for high salary, you definitely can easily get an offer.

Hmm..i'm wondering how much they will offer me though. Anyway i'll just accept whatever they offered, askin around here just want to know the salary range for a Sr. SDE.

Btw mind to let us know your company's name?
*
Erm... Is the title really matter? The requirements/qualifications of senior post is different in different company.

In my first company which is a big company, there are 3 level for software engineer and 2 level for team lead. Senior level in software engineer is still below 4k.
In my second company, with 2.5 years exp, I am a team lead but salary is still below 4k.
In my third company, 5 years exp, I not even a senior software engineer but my salary is 5k.

In IT industry, your salary is based on your skills and experiences. Works in big company, big projects for millions of users, or high demands skills, etc, it helps you to get better offers.

27 - Junior HR Specialist moving to Senior ranking soon.
Earning slightly more than RM 5k.

Sometimes from Junior to Senior, the increment may not be a lot. Unless your company is good and transparent on the salary range for different level.

Some companies (in fact, very few.), as long as get promoted, increment always more than 20% regardless what position.
