Will be around 3-4k for average normal jobs. Not those oil and gas engineers and shit which is like imba
This is the main mistake all fresh grad or ppl before grad makes. You dont earn based on the course you study but based on the job you do. Accounting and finance can be many job like auditor, account exec, accountant, banker, credit card sales, operator, salesman, watever.. So think what you wanna be instead of wat course to take. Also being in a course does not guarantee u a job in that field. Many ppl jump field after their grad cos cant get the job or have interest in other job. Life not so simple
*
Only True partially, Your earning is based on the job you do AND THE COMPANY that you joined. (This only applies when you are fresh and you just join the workforce for a 1st few years) tongue.gif

Salary wise is considered ok. Rm 0.20 seems like too low , lets say your car is RM 0.30 per km, you are kinda rugi liao ? maybe your commission is extremely high? My company's traveling guys get 0.5 .

Currently working, no need travel so much. Salary also 2.2 + commision. Thats why I wonder..The extra RM800 will makes any diff? Since I gonna have travel quite alot. Consider the car wear and tear.
Commission, target 2.5mil +-...0.8% only...some are giving 1% to 2% already. That's why I'm considering, since the mileage claim so low.
*
maybe you can compare with others companies mileage claim as I am not aware of the others.

I'm really underpaid . 8 years working in mechanical engineering industry only earn 3.5K/month .working in automotive sector in Malaysia does't give you competitive salary . thinking to move out and find new environment.
*
You do realise that some MNCs even offer up to 3.5 k to fresh?

An engineer with a 3 years experience , according to Kelly salary report , should earn a minimum of 3.5 k .

You only have a diploma, right?

With only diploma and 21 year-old, earning a RM2800 basic is considered doing very good, above average salary. So your increment from RM 1900 basic to RM 2800 basic?

Based on my observation, the minimum you should ask for is around RM 2500 .But most if not all of the MNCs especially, are offering at least RM 3000 for fresh engineering graduates.

Job Title : Analyst cum asst supervisor
Job Description : Planning/procurement/warehouse
Years spent in company : 2 yrs 1 months
Company : MNC
Industry : O&G
Tenure : Permanent
Employment Level : Middle Management
Experience before joining : 5
salary : RM 40k (1.8k > 2k >2.2k > 2.6k > 2.8K > 0k (for 2 yrs) > 6k > 7k > 40k)
Age: 33

My first job as an automotive engineer for a local vendor, got paid at 1.8k. After 5 years with the company my salary only went up to 2.8k max. Saw people around me even younger people earning more. (I always think younger generations are luckier generations). I still remember this Martrade officer once patronized me for being an "engineer kilang tak laku" but i just smiled. Kept on thinking "belum rezeki aku" and I know I can be better if granted the opportunity.

After 5 years i've decided to quit and go for a masters program abroad (Msc engineering management, in uk). It was a big life decision as I have no sponsorship, not from rich family, and only have my savings to support me (i not a big spender, sustained life with minimal spending & save the rest). Took all my life savings and used it to pay tuition fees. Work part time while studying as i need £ to survive (pay rent & eat). Did a lot of odd jobs (cafeteria assistant, dishwasher, shop assistant, boxes & stuff mover to container, farm work, etc.) i was even given task to wash cows during the farm work in Kent. But its all fun and good experience altogether.

Completed MSc in 1 year, spent the next year continuing odd jobs while trying to find a permanent professional job there, but failed (David Cameron was just elected PM and his manifesto was to eradicate foreign worker influx). Went back to Malaysia and apply for jobs. I remembered I went back with only RM2,240 savings to sustain until i get a job & 1st month salary.. And it all reduced to RM40 when i got swindled by this stoopid phishing bank website (ok, i was stoopid too to believe the scam). So I have no choice but to borrow RM500 from a friend to survive. Its all back to square one just like after finished degree (but with extra 7 yrs older & no money). Finally secured the job, and paid my friend back with my first salary.

Less than 2 years with the company, I took up all the challenges thrown at me and rose up the ranks beating the other seniors. Set the company's record to be selected for foreign work assignment abroad after less than 2 years of service. I guess i am lucky enough to earn what I am earning now in a span of 2 years, but thats life, full of surprises & magic, you never know what will happen. All the hardwork & sacrifices now seems so sweet.

The reason I'm writing this long story is not really to share how much i made, but rather to share the experience with those who think they are unlucky. Its not about luck, so go create your own luck. Always believe in yourself & your capability. Always have a positive mindset. Never feel jealous of other people's achievement, or gain, but set a positive competition for your own self to be equally as good or even better. Always have good intentions and help people around you irrespective of ages, race, culture, etc. Never ever give up, and one day you will make it.

Cheers !!

The minimum 4 month bonus per annum is stated black and white? I personally know a Project Manager, 3 years old than you, just got slightly more than you , about 10% , roughly, construction field , 10 years experience in the field, non oil and gas .

NO BONUS.

1.8K for a technical degree holder seems way too low . maybe for document controller is good pay.
