QUOTE(off_shore @ Mar 14 2013, 02:27 PM) Thanks for sharing. I see that IT jobs in Malaysia are not bad though, receiving one of the highest wages but how many of us actually achieved that figures with relevant years of experiences I wonder Compare those claim on this topic is totaly different kelly salary range. Some company use from kelly to judge what the company should pay for new comer. |

QUOTE(kasyah @ Mar 14 2013, 10:34 AM) no offense. hi kasyah,my job involve not really deep in tech. but i need to know everything from os, apps, db, scripting, and network. prior to what i'm doing today, i have 4 years experience in sap basis. purposely move from sap to non sap due to shift work. for this current company, this is a newly setup team. so called pioneer. who cares high tech or not? i don't care. as long as they can pay me, i can wfh, more time for my family, and no hectic work. peace of mind. you know SAP? those ppl know SAP are well paid one. may i know how you learn SAP and how long ? |

QUOTE(WintersuN @ Mar 18 2013, 08:46 AM) u think kelly salary can trust? It seems abit low if compared to the salary reports from users in LYN.. Comparing those ppl post at low yat different vs kelly. example kelly need 8 yrs experience ot get like 10k while u see many users here already reporting 10k for less than 8 yrs exp I agree with jitshiong. If you luckily the Company didnt pratice the salary range kelly given but above. Salary below than Kelly then is definetly are underpaid. Must work hard and master a skill that the company impress your job. |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Apr 1 2013, 04:57 PM) How long have you been in the work force? If you realized, by right increment is not for you to beat the inflation. Increment is given because you have more knowledge and skillsets that you deserves better than last year's pay. 10 YEAR LOH. I agree the increment based on knowldge and skillset. Company increse less than inflation rate & less bonus , definetly the company is kian siap. Will the employee work longer and loyalty? |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Apr 1 2013, 09:00 PM) I believe it is demand and supply concept. If you worth more than that and your company don't value you with other perks and benefits, you can always jump until you feel that the company is paying you enough. Having said so, so many people are talking about changing companies this and that, but in the end how many actually do it? How many are actually getting better offer? We don't really know. I would say that if sometimes we think 3% is not enough, then time to change. Change until we find the one pays something that we really want. We are our own roadblock for getting better offer out there. |

QUOTE(ragk @ Apr 10 2013, 03:56 PM) lol its ok, i like highlight from senior, since i dont have much elder around me can guide me in my career. Yea heard of that b4, COBOL and RPG is kinda old language right? Don't think its teaching in college nowadays unless ur working company will to convert u and giv u time to learn. SAP is quite common too i guess? Seeing it everywhere. Just u have to pay for the expensive course. But for programming when u climbed to higher post language does'nt really matter right? The concept and theory still work the same hi ragk,Me 10 year doing COBOL for for bank & Insurance. I didnt learn at COLLEGE but work hand on job. Nowsday for client side dont hv patient to teach, except Vendor, bad thing Vendor hire few fresh and let them suffer the shit. Not many survive. SAP for me still uncomon because there is demand compare and also when i refer kelly services SAP still verll paid in their charts. I too lazy to learn and crack my head to attend course, with current job incident and designing my brain already crackin. Climbing ladder ; for user end company - the skill require is polish shoe. Hire a Application manager dont know the system but talking and preassure the programer to fix and solution. What the kind hack the CEO or CIO doing. When you go to the banking and insurance; you may see those IT department executive dont do programing but taichi to vendor or contract staff to do. for vendor; definetly the role not only consultant but also dealing with customer deliver and expectation and assing resources. |
