Mine was an exceptional case and I'm in my 4th year now in this company, we still don't hire fresh grads except for me. smile.gif

But these days, fresh grads' salary is very competitive due to inflation. biggrin.gif

I see.. ok la. how about the people with least experience possible in your company? what is the range? smile.gif

coming dec/january, I will start to look around

2-3 years. It depends if it's network planner or engineer, around 5.5k.
I bribed my previous managers. Haha.
No la, I don't know why did they specifically select me but all they shared was I did a good job during my internship when I was attached to them. Pure luck I would say because they hardly bring in internship student and happened to be during that time there was a project going on, so they needed someone. So, this is how it happened. smile.gif

oh mai shocking.gif
its more than 30% of my current pay, i got close to 3 years experience already

can't wait to tender my letter tomorrow to join yours hahaha laugh.gif

it seems that the current pay for freshgrads do not see much improvements these few years, still remain stagnant from RM2.5k-RM3.5k

meanwhile property pricing in Klang valley has skyrocketed 100% in just 2-4 years, some of you might suggest to rent first, but hell rental also raise at the same time, a 3 room apartment in KL costs rm1k++ to rent

how to achieve high income nation by year 2020

with the introduction of GST in 2015, all I can say is high crime rate before we can even see high income nation

terima kasih Najib, terima kasih BN banyak banyak

Just out of curiosity, if you can only choose 1, would you go for high salary, or more vacation, or a job where you have a genuine interest in.
*
decent package with sufficient vacation

but a sad reality is, in corporate world, the higher you get paid, the more nonsense politics you have to deal with

of which after sometimes, you will start to wonder where is your "old self" anymore, where is your conscience anymore

which is why, I prefer to work solo as a consultant or with a small team is enough, I don't like to report to management, nor like to have people to report to me

I wonder am I getting the right pay? What's market value out there?
I have a degree and professional certification like Oracle and Microsoft
*
way underpaid

1- underpaid according to the mean earning power at your age range
2- underpaid because you claimed you have Oracle skills
3- underpaid because you have worked for 10+ years

has your salary remained stagnant for many years?

when I first joined the company as a dba (with 4 yr System admin working experience, certified with MCSE and MCDBA) , I am getting about 2.6K(gross). Then, I worked as a dba (Major tasks on Oracle db, application server and MSSQL) for the past 10 yrs and got myself certified as an Oracle certified Professional. So with my current experience and qualification. How much would I able to make based on current market

yearly increment pretty standard around RM150-180, so far got twice sal adjustment(5 yrs back 30% and this yr 15%) that's all
*
that kind of increment is abit too... erm.. humiliating, don't you think? sweat.gif

you should start to jump company, as your age is coming close to 40, after age of 40s, it is harder to job hopping
