Are you serious? Comparing the safety level of 2 cars based on pictures from the internet? If it's not on the internet, the means it didn't happen? Really facepalm la people like you..  doh.gif

Get Exora or Livina.

More importantly, drive safe.

didn't happen doesn't mean don't have. and you don't really know how serious is the accident when it occured. you don't know if other car is substituted in the same accident and how differently the result would be. but sure its a bit of turn off when picture such as those appears in the internet.

NCAP 4 stars. There are no flexing of cabin structure.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGDU36NxSYQ

Based on these crash test, Exora is as good as Estima. But there is slight flexing of Estima cabin structure but none for Exora.

Rush crash test. There is some flexing of the cabin.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqCaDtzK-V0

There are no flexing of Exora cabin structure so it may show Exora better than Estima and Rush and which may also mean Exora better than Alza.

I am sure some people can't accept the fact that newer Proton like SAGA and Exora actually came up very well in crash test. As good as the Japanese and if they have ESP as standard, Exora would probably get 5 Stars.

Any more question?

If I can't find it yet, does it mean it won't happen?

It's my internet, and I can do anything I want with it. Problem?

Buy Exora lar. Alza is MPV=Mini People Vehicle. My sister has a livina...it's good car, but if your're looking for space, this is not it. Exora still the better choice.

If Exora has ESP, it probably be NCAP 5 stars.

i dont believe that..as it is not even been given euro NCAP rating..maybe proton didnt test with euro NCAP..what i know, the exora is made to meet 4star euro ncap..but it doesnt mean it is rated as 4stars euro ncap as exora is not listed in the euro ncap website..since people like to judge with accident picture, the picture below shows that exora is about the same with avanza:

to ts, if u want to have a spacious 5 seater, get the alza, as the mid row seat can be moved aft for a very big legroom space..

I will recommend if TS scrap the two car he listed and consider a Grand Livina or Exora Bold CFE

Alza and Rush is too cramp for the third row. Even the 2nd row is not as big as the livina.
Alza safety not up too standard, you can see at youtube how miros do alza crash test hit trailer at 30km/h shakehead.gif
I have no comment on rush, but i sat in one before, it is so cramp.
These two cars also dont have much space if all the 7 seater occupied, no space for your luggage if do long distance!
and you should take a look at Alza official thread and read the first post sweat.gif

Grand livina is the less problematic, decent acceleration and comfortable. Space is adequate smile.gif

Exora CFE, powerful engine 0-100 in 11.3s but the cvt gearbox is quite loud at low speed (<40km/h) and the biggest space among all. Interior is neat but plastic at the dashboard. Proton is so kind until the spare tyre also have the same size and the same rim like the original smile.gif My exora cfe FC is 10.5L / 100km = 18sen/KM and I drive this exora 100% at PJ every weekday, fc is not bad

Lol way to judge the cars toughness by looking at crumple zone. If avanza less damage means avanza is safer lor.

Exora was never tested by euroNCAP becoz it was nvr sold in in europe. But it has undergone similiar or equivalent crash testing to meet euroNCAP 4 stars rating.

so from the crash which driver lost his leg?crash test not only bout the chassis can stand the impact but also how well it can protect pasenger's life & also their limbs by spreading the fatal impact from hurting them
thats one of crash test pre-requirements also

like i said, this is most malaysians way to see which car is safer..and i dont think if it is so wrong..it is like asking which car is faster..some will state the 0-100kmh sprint time, some will say the hp, weight, etc2..but both also not wrong..

i've tried livina and alza before. Well, livina is more expensive of course but the middle row of seat isn't really as spacious as alza. I would say alza is more of a normal 5 seater car but extendable to 7seater.

Yes, the last row of seats of alza are too cramped ler but how often do you carry 7pax?

Well, i'll go for alza and around rm60k+... what do u expect? livina u gotto pay like extra rm20k... think about it. more years of installment but if you got the rm, y not... else if on budget, i don see the alza will be any bad of it.

now comparing the rush. i never tried the rush before but my colleague told me rush is not spacious at all overall and it's totally not worth getting it at tat price range.

well, tat's my point of view... afterall, the decision is still on u...

ppl here recommend livina rather than alza is becuz alza is full of unresolved problems(especially in the engine bay area)
and perodua doesn't seem to want to solve it either
thats why ppl here rather go livina or exora bold also dn't want alza or avanza or rush(yes, not worthed)

Most cars are not proper 5 seaters. Not sure if the Alza was one or not, but I don't think so. It's perfectly fine for 4, but more than that...? Dead giveaway: Is there a 3 point seatbelt in the center or not. If yes, then it was designed as a 5 seater. If not the center seat is just to be used for emergencies.

Other signs: No hump on the center seat (i.e. a proper seat is molded there) and poper headrests for all passengers (that can be pulled out... the top of the headrest should be at least at the same height as the top of the passengers head, otherwise it is useless in protecting the passenger and you are risking serious injuries to the neck).

http://www.angurten.de/Bilder/fotosets/citroen-xsara-012.jpg for example scores 2 out of 3. In terms of safety it's good, however it could be more comfortable. http://www.renault.ch/central/media/---nou...92__acce_10.jpg is good. http://www.motor-talk.de/images/News/2006-...99pix1hires.jpg even better, although the 3rd row is for kids only as the distance between floor and bench is way too small, you'd be sitting on a small part of your backside only.

EuroNCAP picks the cars they test themselves, according on if it is actually on sale in Europe and whether it relevant enough for Europeans. The Exora is neither of those things. But if they chose to test a car, they will go out and buy one themselves, they AFAIK don't take manufacturer supplied ones (cause they can be tinkered with and be specially prepared).

However there is a new thing coming, Asean NCAP, which are supposed to test in Malaysia according to the EuroNCAP standards (and with the help of the other NCAP programs like EuroNCAP). So far they have only tested a Vios, and have not published the results yet, but I hope the program gets into full force soon. They should be testing what we actually get to drive over here, all the downgraded cars.

To be honest I didn't think the Alza was a bad car. Spent some time from KL to JB in the 2nd row and in front, and it seemed to be a decent car. Felt a bit cheap, but that's fine given that it is actually cheap. Refined enough though.
