Hi bro, there are not much people interested in this app, not sure whether it is due to not many people have samsung smart tv or other reason, hence i will just give this app for free using until further notice, in order to attract more people to test on it...

At the same time to let Samsung Smart TV owner to appreciate the Smart TV they bought smile.gif

I've removed the 3 days trial from the post. Thanks for pointing it out which I have overlooked..

I dont have any plan for this now... as the current shared server is sill able to handle for the little number of users that we currently have... (althought sometime has slow response, just bared with it due to FREE. smile.gif )...

Feel free to comment for any issues or improvement needed in E Series, as i dont have an E series TV to try out...

Hi Eclipsejee,

I've tested on my ES5600 for the last few days. Overall it's very smooth, clear and easy to use. Best of all I got to watch so many live shows for free just from my TV.

Here are few of the minor issues listed below just for your info.

- still has the overlay issue at the bottom navigation but it's ok, just press Enter to go into full screen and back and it's back to normal.

- When I go into any of the PPTV, it restarted my TV.

One question, will I be able to watch previously saved shows like PPStream?

Only start using it last night, didn't remember got any overlay issue..will go back and check later. But when testing on the PPTV, the TV automatic restart as jlsh007 mentioned. Don't know what is PPTV, just browse and found that one not working.

you will need to get the new IP from me.. as i'm using dynamic streamyx package.. I will pusblish my IP at the Online TVE announcement section. you can install it from 10pm to 11pm tonight...

as for the restart issue, i cant solve this issue, as this is handled by Samsung TV internal API. I cant do anything with it.
seems like the error handling in E series is not that good as compared to D series.. D series has no such problem.. maybe a newer firmware upgrade may solve that problem.. anyway, i will remove the PPTV channel list...

As for the 'overlay' issue.. if you all dont mind, can post the picture of the issues here? As i cant imaging the issue.. as it dont appear in D series.. Hope that i am able to simulate this issue and solve it accordingly...

As for the date time clock, is it 2 hour faster in E series as well?

If you encountered this problem, please EXIT the app and relaunch again... it will happen whenever too many ppl accessing to the site..... sorry about that.. will try to solve this problem later...

I am using Plasma PS51E550 with the last firmware 001012. I think this is what users above meant by overlay. Overall, the channels are watchable. I have tried few HD channels like HBO HD and Travel Channel HD. Presumably, because of my limited 4Mbits internet connection, I cannot seem to get them anywhere near HD quality like AStro Byond. I hope anyone else who have Streamyx 10Mbits can post some picture on the quality etc. Mine is as below.

It was a good effort to bring overseas channel here for us to watch. Version 2.3.3 has improved comparatively to the previous release.

Thanks for the photo, i can see it clearly.. mmmm.. may i know when it started to have overlay issue? is it right after you press the up and down arrow? or after it switch from full screen to window? or only happen when switching from those channel where it always display full screen with 'Buferring....' fyi.. when you see those channel with "Buffering...', it is actually calling a Flash player app to play those channel.

if you like to test the 720p HD channel, you may try to play the Beauty TV at Korea HD or at HD Channels, i think the rest so called HD are 540p only smile.gif

I installed this app last night and thanks to eclipsejee for his time to allow me to download.

Just a few question though see if all bros can help me on this :-
a) Changing channels to channels seems to take quite long. Is this normal ?
b) Picture quality ok and I have signal of 90 and 75. If I add-on signal booster, will it help to improve in quality ?
c) I own a 46ES6220 but the internet connection is slow compared to the speed I got from pc. Is this normal ? I am using Maxis 10MB line

As an Online TVE user, you dont have to PM me in order to get my IP address in order to sync and update to the latest version. As i will publish my IP address at the Announcement section at Online TVE. Hi Kamikaze11,

a) Yes. I also experience the same issue expecially during night time after 11pm. I think the shared server is busy during that period.. morning OK..
b) I think picture quality will not improve much but it may improve the smoothness in playback and less pixelize. But preferable to have 100% wifi signal in order to get the best viewing experience.
c) I have no experience with this, anybody can help?

My husband watched the TVE almost whole day on Sunday with no problem. He also pointed out a lot of the channels has been added.. thank you very much. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Ya. I've temporary stop the software upgrade. As i knew that it is very troublesome for users to always try to get my dynamic IP and do the latest version update...

I'm currently working on a new version of the software where it will automatically check for the latest version and update accordingly. Hence new user just have to download once and use it forever without worrying whether it is the latest version or not...

So, just stay-tuned..

Do you all has a Fixed IP web server running on port 80 and willing to allow me to host this App just for new app installation purposes? It is just 2 small files and I don't need to have any access right to the server. Just help me to host the files only... smile.gif

By using Fixed IP web server, we don't have to always ask for new IP address for each new installation.

Anyone willing to help?

Latest version 2.3.7 has been released. Added auto update features and more stuff. 1 version for all time and don't worry of the future upgrade (except very major update). It will update automatically... Must upgrade for the existing onwer!!!

ya... still no subtitle supported yet.. smile.gif will try to add in next future release...
btw, you can use the left, right, forward or backward buttons to fast forward or backward in VOD.... pause and play also working in VOD...

Got 1 ES 5 series user reported that the TV had problem in playing Youtube, can any ES 5 series user please verify that.. smile.gif

Will try to add in SD and HD toggling due to certain user are not using highspeed broadband, "Play All" and search features in the future release.

I would like to create an owner thread for Online TVE to announce and share information among owners.

Online TVE is a Samsung Smart TV application which has a repository of more than 500 live TV where the source are come free from internet. Other channel such as VOD, Radio, Music will be added later.

Online TVE app supports C (Year 2010), D (Year 2011) and latest Year 2012 E/EH/ES Series Samsung Smart TV.

Due to the channels are adopted free from internet from various countries, the playback smoothness, intermittently connection error, channels discontinue (dead channels) and the quality of the channels playback are out of my control.

Streamyx 1mbps is able to play most of the SD channels smoothly, however, suggested to use more than 2mbps bandwidth in order to view all the SD & HD channels smoothly.

How to install Online TV Samsung Apps

Developer Login
To login to the User App tool as a developer:

1. Press the SMART HUB button on the remote control to display the Samsung Smart Hub.

If this issue happen when:
1. You have been browsing the channel/vidoes for many times in a day.
2. You have tried to access the App in different period but still getting the same error or no response.

Most likely you already hit the max limit access per day of the FREE server smile.gif . Sorry, just live with it due to free smile.gif . It has a limit of max 2000 access per day based on the IP address.

Solution:
1. Restart your router and get a new IP address smile.gif

The answer is maybe smile.gif As the "speed" of the channel loading are depending on:
1. The "speed" of the actual stream server response.
2. The "speed" of your Internet Bandwidth.
3. The "speed" of your ISP connection to the stream server (depending on which country you selected).

but some channel from India can't be loaded even after buffering for some time..

I've updated the India Channel list... total 86 channels, but I haven't tested them all... Please try and comments ... smile.gif
You may rate/mark those Channel which are dead/broken by using the RED button, so that I'll look into those channels and update accordingly ...

Due to the incident recently whereby the free shared server deactivated the account due to heavy usage as was claimed, if we would like to continue using this App and service, we will have to host it in paid service hosting server whereby it has no such limiation and with faster response.

I'm considering to upgrade it to paid service hosting if we would like to continue using this App.

Note:
If you're facing slow response in loading the App, switching channel folder list or loading the VOD folder list, this is normal as the free shared server is over-loaded and probably it explains why they are starting deactivating accounts.

Hi popo_wee,

Actually the smoothness or buffering of the Live TV/Video is nothing to do with the hosting of the App and which is out of my control as mentioned in the thread. As this incur a lot of factors.
Ya. I also encountered a lot of buffering nowadays during night time using TMnet broadband. But when I turn on my VPN, it play very smooth without buffering.. Not sure whether this is due to our TMnet ISP network to oversea congested issue or any other reason.

Can anybody who are not using Streamyx/Unifi can share your viewing experience here?

If this continue like this without any solution, I will just cancel this service without collecting any funds to avoid any unhappiness. FYI. I haven't start collecting any funds yet.

It is better to go for ES5600 as i cant find the info that EH5000 supports Smart App at Samsung Malaysia website. Again, please double check with the authorized dealer to make sure which model supports Samsung Smart App.

I was going through the instruction. The IP issued on 10pm. And i must install before 11pm. Does that mean i have only 1 hours window? If that is the case i have only 1 chance.

Don't worry jimmyay, you can always request the new IP from me if you miss that day... as usually I will on my PC from 10:00pm till 11:00pm..

I'm working on a new installation method whereby you all can install the App anytime you like... just stay tune. smile.gif

Please goto www.onlinetve.com to request for IP or look for detail installation guide (will announce the new installation steps without to wait for IP address).. You will need to create an user account at (Domain name temporary not available) in order to use this app.

Sure.. but highly recommended to use self installation method to install the App, so that we all do not have to wait for each other for the IP and install it.. You are able to get the IP address any time you like by using self installation method.. As the installation Java App is able to generate the IP anytime you like smile.gif

Hi yangchee98,

Did you see the ip address display below the IP Address: ?

You will require to enter that IP address at your Samsung Smart TV/Blueray by following the installation guide...

If you cant see the IP address, most likely there are something wrong with your installation. However, you can still enter your notebook IP address at the Smart TV/Blueray, and it should be working as the server already been started at your Notebook as shown above.

Just to ensure that there are no firewall, anti virus blocking the network connection from your tv to your notebook will do.

Check it out the New Easy OnlineTVE Installation at www.onlinetve.com. IP Address for installation is provided at the Installation Guide (New) Page.

You are no longer required to wait for IP Address anymore or trying to solve the Java Web Start App issue which is only be able to run on PC but not on Andriod/IOS.

The New Easy OnlineTVE Installation with IP Address save a lot of issues in the installation. Check it out smile.gif

HD 720p video hardly play due to long buffering time needed.

420p is good. live channels not really working and i can't find a channel for BPL football if you have any clue?

Hi tryifelsecatch,

There is a VOD source which should be able to stream up to HD 720p without any buffering even during peak period. As the Videos are hosted at google video engine. Probably it may due to your ISP and location issue. Will try to add similiar VOD sources soon...

There are a lot of chinese sport channels available which are supported by E-Series and above, please check your pm (or you can leave feedback at 'Contact Us' at www.onlinetve.com) as i think it may not so suitable to discuss the channel content over here.

hi.i'm trying to install it now and i only manage to reach step 9 base on your installation guide. instead of video tutorial, it show online tve and the bar never changed , mean no loading is in process. btw my tv is E series.

Hello guys,

First of all i really don't know should i put this. I just bought a Samsung Plasma 51" E550 model. I try to connect to internet via wireless,

i click and scan, ive got signal but when i try to connect when it reach the security password box it auto close the box. Try to connect again sometime reach scanning for available wifi also auto close the box for me.

I can only connect via wireless, i dont have LAN on my apartment just using the apartment wifi only. Please direct me to the right thread if this is not one. I've looking for the right thread but cannot find. :/

By norm the window shouldn't be auto closed, it should be the same as shown in the video. Not sure whether it is hardware or other technical issue..

Normally Samsung support will advise you to update to the latest firmware to ensure it is not software problem.

Sorry.. I never encounter this problem before... You may also call your local Samsung support to come to your home to troubleshoot this. If it is the hardware problem, they may fix it on the spot by changing the board, just to inform them in advanced regarding this issue. Samsung support is Good smile.gif

Alright, maybe it is. Cause i bought this display unit at the shop. age 6month yesterday. it will still have another 6month warranty. I will contact Samsung asap. Wanted to try this app lol.

Ya. It is better to contact Samsung support and also inform them that you are using the display unit. If i'm not mistaken, the display unit may configure to use the demo mode, where the settings might be different from the normal set.

You may also refer to the following article on how to reset it to factory default settings, but it is advisable to check with Samsung support before perform any action which may harm your TV smile.gif

There is some problem with the dns ... can you please follow the instruction below, enter 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS) at the DNS Server field at your Samsung TV..

Hi. I just signed up at your website and found out that the account is expired. Does this have to do with the fact that I did install your earlier version which needs to request for IP address? If so can you extend the trial so I can check out the difference since then?

Dear Unifi and Streamyx users,

Please configure Google DNS 8.8.8.8 either at your smart tv or at your router to avoid video can't be played or slow in loading channel list.

Not sure whether it is due to TMNET DNS is overloaded or poor in resolving the domain name.

Hi, Ive followed your instructions for my F5500 model but I keep getting error message "Unable to connect to the server. Please try again later" after it displays a 'connecting' symbol for more than 20secs . I have also changed my DNS setting to 8.8.8.8 but to no avail. I have updated my tv software and tried both methods of entering the password and without it. Please kindly advise.

Anyway.seem like i found out many channel now is not watchable. ( i seldom watch tv n most of the time my wife is enjoying this with all the korean n HK drama ) I try the hidden channel as well n most of them got no more content. Izzit bcoz of the DNS configuration tat u mentioned or others reason???

1. Press the MENU button at your Samsung Remote Control.
2. Select the Network -> Netwrk Status
3. After your TV detected your network, press the "IP Settings" button.
4. Move the cursor to DNS Server and press ENTER
5. Enter 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS) at the DNS Server field and press OK.
6. Done.

hi jag jag, by right the DNS server field should have 4 boxes for you to enter the 4 digit of number 8 in it..

you may refer to the screen capture of the DNS server field here

This is what i do exactly..insert no 8 in each of the 4 box...
As for the result after this, i cant connect the TV to my network and i have to change the IP setting to automatic and only that i can get the connection. This mean i did not manage to change the IP...

By right it should be working.
Did you enter the dot " . " at the box?
Please enter only the number at the box will do.
Meaning only enter 4 digits of 8 at each of the box, without any spaces or dot in the box. Else the device will complaint invalid ip.

Meaning only enter 4 digits of 8 at each of the box, without any spaces or dot in the box. Else the device will complaint invalid ip.

I did not enter any dot in the box but in each box ( if i not mistaken ) got space for 3 digit but since 8 is only one digit, so i only use one space in each box and skip to next box..or is there any rules for entering the one 8 nos in the box of 3 spaces???

Hi victorwan,

For this type of stream, due to it is not supported by the Samsung TV build in player, hence you need to follow the onscreen help to download a video stream converter and install at your windows pc/notebook. The App will play the video stream via the converter. Please PM if you had any problem with it.

Hi Victorwan,

You are still watching those channels from your Samsung tv. OnlineTVE will stream the video via RTMPGW which is running from your PC.

ya. need to on the pc and make sure both tv and pc are connected to the same network.

you just have to follow on screen help to do the setup and should be fine.

Is this app still up for free?
my free trial has expired but I'm still able to stream it REALLY SLOWLY
tested my internet connection and sure enough it should be streaming smoothly(10mbps)

There are many channels that shows 'VIP#1" and when I go in, it's blank. Do you need to be a VIP member in order to watch ? Also, I can't watch any of the Users channel which gives me 'Connector error' ??

Hi Victorwan,

You don't have to update the app. The app will auto updated to the latest version every time you launch the app.

The IP stuff is only for new installation or user had deleted the app and required reinstall.

The old IP mentioned at the registration email is longer valid.
