Congrats to both japan teams.

Notice that during the women game thw referee hardly blow tje wistle. Thw game just flowing.

And i think spain was punished because undereatimate the japs. Totally spirited and energetic if not prolific.

currently the team consisting at least 4 players with the 30++mil GBP price tags on their heads. they are super talented players of course.. thats overhype for me..

i missed Brazil and GB games..

watched Spain-Japan.. nice result, im supporting Asian. pressure to Spain, but their groups aint really tough.. they still can go further..

it's olympic. not FIFA world cup.
no assoc. logo or something related is allowed

Egypt wearing different kit last night (Adidas)
this is their official kit (Puma)

hmm disagree with u.

u dont put super talented & overhype in one sentece. just like messi, ronaldo, etc etc.
and it doesnt count as overhype if they still have the discipline to finish off their job

overhype means : TOO many exposure on the media etc etc <like english player... >, but on field KO main totally out.

overhype is not abt the price tag. price tag is between the agent/ club. if they agree the price, means the club Agree with the players' value.
if that's call as an overhype, i bet u can find LOOOOOOOOTSS of 'overhype' player in China & Arabian countries where foreigners was paid beyond anybody else.

ever heard of Dario Conca? i bet u dont (and most of em).
it was revealed that his wages is almost the same amount as Messi & Ronaldo. Yet he's in China.
Yes he might do all those necessary jobs for his team in China, but i dont call him overhype, it's overpaid

HYPE = directly related with media. how the media 'makes him sensational'
just my 2 cents icon_rolleyes.gif peace no war

and how many wolrd cup and euro winners in their squad again?

this bring a glimmer of hope to the rest of the world that when Xavi and iniesta retires, they will bring Spain's tikataka invicibility with them.

i think spain is going thru a down cycle after their seniors success...
the Primera Liga is flooded with too many good senior players + imports that youth rarely got the chance to shine..
most end up in the 2nd tier thus affected their game play quality..

i think Honduras player got this quote by Xavi b4 the euro stick on their dressing
room walls & doors as sole motivation

QUOTE
"The European Championship is harder than the World Cup, more intense. There are no Cinderellas. In the World Cup, with all respect, you can face Honduras or Saudi Arabia. In the Euros, anyone can beat you."

Cuba tengok gol Japan vs Morocco, kalau anda dalam kem Morocco, siapa yg patut disalahkan dalam bolosnya gol tersebut?

Last defender morocco yg tracking Nagai, dan gagal to keep up with his movement and speed?

Keeper Morocco, yg decided to go out from the penalty area to clear the ball but didnt manage to do so?

Apa2 pun speed Nagai ni memang terbaik ah...

bg aku salah keeper, keeper tak patut full force keluar habis..just rapatkan kedudukan ke depan petak utk kecikkan angle striker shoot..& not too far from the goal. once Nagai HOLD the ball, he surely needs extra seconds to aim and shoot which, that seconds, cud be vital for the Centreback to trackback.

this is the different between world class GK & decent GK. those split seconds decisions. of course i offer this suggestion AFTER watched the replay for several times. biggrin.gif

nagai punya centreback pressure memang mantap.... berapa kali centreback caught of possesion.... dan hujung2 game pon still kejar lagi bola kat centreback.... memang pure determination.

stamina macam tak habis.... agak- agaknya macamane la japan belatih... bukan nagai je yang laju(walaupun aku rasa dia yg paling laju dlm team ni) tapi rata2 player jepun semua laju-lajuy walaupun susuk badan besar.

Mexico can't get the ball. Japan is a monster. If this the level of their Olympic squad, one should wonder what's their senior squad strength.

Since they have lost, I'm rooting for Brazil to win against SK so that we can see SK against Japan again like in the Asia Cup.

Yes, no surprise they came back from behind and Japan never look threatening enough after the equalizer. As an Asian, i'm hoping for Asia vs Asia final. What's more fitting, on English soil. But now they lost.. hopefully South Korea can create an upset although it's quite unlikely.

Mexico ada Dos Santos, Mexican youth world cup winner. Partner in crime dia Carlos Vela xde lak dalam squad walaupun still eligible for being 23 y.o. Overage player diorang pun diorang call up yg hebat2 gak rasanya....

Lepas gol kedua Mexico tu, Jepun macam hilang semangat dan tak main usual game diaorang. And after the third goal was conceded, the fight was as good as over. To be fair, I think that second goal by Mexico was very opportunistic and unfair to Japan. Jarang aku tengok team bola mana2 pun score dengan cara sneaky macam tu.

Brazil vs Korea tak tengok, sebab dah masuk Zzzzzz.....

That first goal was a really careless mistake by the Jap defence...they didn't close in fast enough on the ball when it was going to be sent into the box via a cross. Didn't see the rest of the match though, because I was too sleepy by then.

Anyway, when is the men's final for football? Does anyone know?

I've been observing these for quite some times, the rivalry between SK and Japan is no small matter. I've seen a lot of times from the Asian games to the Olympic, in any match where SK were competing against Japan, you can feel the zealousness from the S.Koreans to beat the Japanese counterparts. The atmosphere seemed to be similar to taking revenge.

Even in the bronze medal match just now, there was a complaint that a S.Korean footballer displayed a political banner (related to the Dokdo/Takesima island) to celebrate their victory against Japan. FIFA is still investigating this matter at the moment.

These occasions are indeed what I would say as "True-Hardcore-Arch-Rivalry". Maybe similar to our relation with Malaysia-Indonesia.

so much has been said about the rise of Asia with 2 teams in the semifinal.

But its easy to overlook that we are facing a decent prospect that both gold medals for olympic now will be heading to CONCACAF region....

i hope this will serve as an inspiration for the rest of the world that WE CAN turn the table against the masters of world football..

i believe, Japan shud be jealous SK much more. not the other way around
yes Japan win more AFC Championship but beyond the Asian Cup, SK achieved more on the 'world level'

Congrats to Mexico!!

love it when underdog won the title
as i said earlier, never underestimate Mexico. the pool of talent is there

champion & 3rd in FIFA age group competition (u17 & u20) & now olympic !! (u23)

aahh i see,

btw to be honest i think Japan had a good game till the semi.
i fancy them to beat SK all the way because SK looks quite 'weak' overall in this tournament

and guess what, SK is the only team that REALLY looks can beat Mexico (champion) during the grouping stage..hehehehe (SK did really well in that particular match)
