I live in bukit bandaraya. Really sad to see one of the last green lung of bangsar being destroyed, pass by Medang Serai just now and they're chopping the trees..
with the development of the MRT, more greens are being destroyed along Sprint... We've protested through the bukit bandaraya association but what can we do...development konon... Just hope they don't destroy the whole jungle to build this thing and leave some greens left around damaisari and tivoli area went to BRDB and the selling price is out of this world....i think even more expensive than one menerung... Added on October 4, 2012, 8:42 pm QUOTE(optimus28 @ Jul 29 2012, 11:18 AM) This area is the last green area around bukit bandaraya..why on earth would the authorities give approval for this development. I agree with you bro, it's the last green area we have at bukit bandaraya...And they talking rubbish about making KL a greener city, but destroying all the green lungs. I'm sure this will be brought up in the media (the media wants to act as if they care about environment), but by that time will be too late. The land would have been cleared up already. This is the usually scenario happening nowadays. really really devastated that it's coming down after so many years...some of the trees there are ancient ! wonder if we can hug the trees there and stop this This post has been edited by CoreDud: Oct 4 2012, 08:42 PM |

Classy project: (from left) Jagan, painter Jalaini Abu Hassan, photographer S.C. Shekar and textile designer Dr June Ngo with a model of Serai
BRDB unveils ambitious KL luxurious condo project with GDV of RM900mil[SIZE=7] KUALA LUMPUR: Just a couple of months after its privatisation, property developer Bandar Raya Developments Bhd (BRDB) chief executive officer Datuk Jagan Sabapathy unveiled the company's most luxurious and ambitious project to date, Serai, with a gross development value of about RM900mil. Located at Bukit Bandaraya, Kuala Lumpur, Serai comprises 121 condo units located in two 21-storey towers. Sold at between RM1,300 and RM1,500 per sq ft, the units range from 4,025 sq ft to 6,913 sq ft. There will be two penthouses of 14,000 sq ft, priced between RM19mil and RM22mil. Serai sits on six acres, the last piece of prime real estate in the Bukit Bandaraya area. In just slightly less than three months, 54% of the units have been sold, the majority to Malaysians. There are two foreign buyers. “Serai marks one of our most luxurious and ambitious developments to date, a landmark residential icon that celebrates our brand values of intelligent design, uplifting aesthetics and cosmopolitan living,” Jagan said at the launch. Chief marketing officer K.C. Chong said the speed at which the sales were done was “hugely gratifying” considering the glut of larger condominium units today. The overall property market has been pretty slow the past year particularly for the high-end larger units. BRDB was delisted on Oct 29 following the completion of a general offer for its shares and warrants by Ambang Sehati Sdn Bhd, which is controlled by BRDB chairman Datuk Mohamed Moiz Jabir Mohamed Ali Moiz. However, Chong said “it will be business as usual” in BRDB. “This was the message communicated to us time and again by Datuk Jagan,” said Chong. The road to delisting took about a year and attracted much attention initially because that journey started with the intention by major shareholder Ambang Sehati Sdn Bhd, which is controlled by Moiz, to buy over BRDB's prized assets (the Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC), Menara BRDB, CapSquare Retail Centre and Permas Jusco Mall) for RM914mil. That proposal was aborted and Ambang Sehati instead made the general offer subsequently. Now that the chapter is closed, Chong said the guiding principles of its projects remained the same intelligent design, aesthetics and cosmopolitan in terms of the provision of the latest technology |

KUALA LUMPUR: Bandar Raya Development Bhd (BRDB) launched
its last prime piece of real estate in Bukit Bandaraya yesterday. Situated in Jalan Medang Serai, Serai Bukit Bandaraya comprises 121 private residences situated at two 21-storey towers on 2.4ha of land. Designed to resemble high-end bungalows, individual unit sizes start from 4,000 sq ft to 12,000 sq ft for the penthouse. The official launch of Serai was marked by the unveiling of a brand new show home at BRDB’s sales gallery in Bangsar by CEO Datuk Jagan Sabapathy. “Serai marks one of our most luxurious and ambitious developments to date, a landmark residential icon that celebrates our brand values of intelligent design, uplifting aesthetics and cosmopolitan living,” said Sabapathy. To commemorate the launch of Serai Bukit Bandaraya, BRDB unveiled the Serai Artist Series, which display the works of artists consisting of SC Shekar, an internationally renowned photographer; Jalaini Abu Hassan, one of the most established fine artists in Malaysia; and Dr June Ngo, a pioneering innovator of the art of Songket. “BRDB has always been a keen supporter of the local arts fraternity and the launch of Serai presented an opportunity for us to mark our legacy in Bangsar with an artistic milestone,” said Sabapathy. The Serai development is equipped with numerous facilities such as a recreational podium, children’s play area, a swimming pool and an overhanging pavilion. It is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2016. This article first appeared in The Edge Financial Daily, on Dec 5, 2012 |

QUOTE(hokin @ Dec 21 2012, 12:08 PM) Smallest size, from RM 1,400 psf onwards ...... Means cheapest unit from smallest unit, 4025 sq feet starts from RM 5.63 million, worth as much as any bungalow in Bangsar enclave ...The most high end condo in Bukit Bandaraya Bangsar, the last gem of the freehold land, or so-called Crown Jewel after One Menerung , probably eclipsing some of the gigantic development in KLCC such as Troika and etc, but definitely above the class of the Mont Kiara series ... IMHO, One Menerung had brought up BRDB a lot in this enclave, and not much people extected such a super expensive condo like One Menerung can have such great appreciation ... The buyers of Serai, are really no play play ... |

Encounter a few Really?Probably most of them buy it bcz the last piece of Jewel by BRDR at Bukit Bandaraya. Most Bangsar bungalow owners very confident with their current living and anything super high end condo, they keep as luxury resort holiday homes. Their profile really no play play. |
