This area is the last green area around bukit bandaraya..why on earth would the authorities give approval for this development.
And they talking rubbish about making KL a greener city, but destroying all the green lungs.
I'm sure this will be brought up in the media (the media wants to act as if they care about environment), but by that time will be too late. The land would have been cleared up already.
This is the usually scenario happening nowadays.

Of course its not BRDB's fault, they are a business organization and their primary objective is to make profits.
My frustration is on the authorities which first of all gave so many approvals to condos around bukit bandaraya destroying all the available green areas.
A right thing to do now would be to buy the land bank from BRBD, or reach an agreement with them such as a land swap deal with another piece of land that can get a similiar GDP value.
Once the state owns the land they can gazzete it as a park/green lung.
It can be done..its just a matter of the authrorities being more responsible..

Aiyoo...the state is very rich la..no problems in getting the land. like i said there are other ways..they can swap the land. maybe give BRBD a large plot of land in Putrajaya to develop instead..
we must look at the bigger picture, when New York can have a huge park right in the middle of the city why cant we? its all a matter of planning and being responsible at it..
There is definately a way to stop this development if the goverment really wants to..the point is whether they feel its important enough or not..

haha..then more developments will come out with the name park but have a tiny plot of greens in the middle of it..
well the plot is considered one of the last green lungs in bukit bandaraya area, 6 acres is still quite big and worth to preserve..

this project is launched Added on September 21, 2012, 11:32 am(2) BRDB is going ahead with the launch of Medang Serai (GDV: RM RM876mil) in Bangsar in 2HFY12 with 121 units on offer. The starting price for these units will be about RM4mil-RM5mil (or RM1,000psf-RM1,200psf) and we are quite positive there will be strong response given that this could be one of the last high-rise developments within Bangsar, if not the last. We are estimating about 60% take- up within the first year. https://www.amesecurities.com.my/gc/downloa...ts%20120504.pdfThis post has been edited by kh8668: Sep 21 2012, 11:32 AM
