I'm playing all gameloft games on One X, no problem, different with S is Screen size bigger for X and GPU chipset.
no problem at all! After all if problem occur is related to developer.... not hardware itself.... |

I'm playing tegra games too, and no overheat issue, the youtube thing is that ppl connected to HSDPA network while playing games, surely that will increase the temperature since HSDPA need a lot power consumption compared to when you off the network...
Anyway I'm using custom ROM by ARHD which optimized everything and everything work well, no issue at all... |

QUOTE(mather @ Jul 22 2012, 12:12 AM) Yeah no overheat issue....Let me explain why its overheat, stock ROM's GPU is running CPU + GPU at the same time for rendering so its overheat, I don understand why HTC need both work together since running GPU should be enough. So I using custom ROM which the feature like this: Removed software (CPU) rendering - full nVidia Tegra 3 (GPU) rendering Fully optimized and tweaked ROOT (su + SuperSu Permissions) Unsecured boot.img Newest BusyBox RAM optimizations System signatures check enabled for system security and safety Improved virtual memory management Speed optimizations Enabled GPU UI rendering Data, cache and system partitions mounting tweaks Bloatware applications removed All /system applications updated to latest available All /data applications updated to latest available Improved camera performance Improved CPU governors performance Most optimal system scheduler Disabled kernel debugging for better performance ZRAM ready! Zipaligned (Improved RAM management) Zipalign on boot (for user applications on data partition) Fully de-odexed init.d scripts (BusyBox run-parts) support Auto init.d permissions set on boot sysro/sysrw commands support Excellent battery life! Improved EXT4 performance You can replace HTC boot animation with any custom one (or use ICS default) OpenVPN support 4EXT Recovery (Thanks to madmaxx82) Most up-to-date system files permissions Adobe Flash Player support for Ice Cream Sandwich So the ROM I'm using now not using CPU to rendering, just GPU rendering, so CPU is not running thus no overheat occur... overheating? nope
45~60c is normal temperature during gaming, since one x is a quad core phone gameloft games? im playing mass effect 3, nova 3, riptide gp thd, all without problems tegra 3 games? direct support from nvidia. no issues at all. currently owns skyrim V thd, mass effect 3 thd, glowball thd, fruit ninja thd, dead trigger and samurai vengeance thd all playing and working like a charm. and little to none frame dips (fps only dips during an extremely graphic intense moment) but it was not severe. oh, one s 1.7ghz version is bullshit still using old S3 chipset, which is 40nm in die size (similar to tegra 3's 40nm) the only reason it consumes less battery is because it is 2 cores short. oh and btw, one x is better and faster. nvidia makes very good gpus so im very sure that nvidia wont fail us on software patching and optimization since i own their gtx 680 oh for the record, people who said one x is sucking batt like drinking water, tell them to eat shit. battery heavily depends on how u use ur phone. my phone can last up to 1 day n a half if i use it less |

I dunno why, many phone sellers wanna push One S to customers badly but i suspect it was due to low demand. The One S sales is very bad (road show in Pavillion not even able to sell more than 200), and i believe they can get higher margin if they are able to sell it. Just my opinion. One X is a very good phone, One S is good if it is an S4 chip, but malaysian has S3 - this is confirmed. So, One S with S3 bad, S4 good. IT should have been priced lower at maybe 1.2-1.3k for One S S3. The chipset is the same as what u found on last year HTC Sensation. Anyway, you already bought it. No time to regret, just enjoy and treat it as lesson. |

(im no expert, but i got my laptop right when i5 came out, so i did a little reading). =p |

As far as cores go, not much of a difference since its the software limitation at the moment. Wait till HTC One series gets the Jellybean update, will be super smooth thanks to Project Butter. Using Galaxy Nexus now and its faster than the new Galaxy S3 and HTC One X |

TS, One S with S3 chip clocked to 1.7Ghz is a suicidal phone. So, the One X would win the One S with S3 chip anytime. But if you are comparing between the Snapdragon S4 equipped One S with the Tegra 3 equipped One X, my vote goes to the One S.
But best would be One X with S4 chip but that one only LTE. Cannot use in Malaysia. |

In my opinion, Htc One X is better Htc One S because One X-quad core processor and One S-dual core processor. If u scared One X got many problem maybe next time u can try to wait till it is stabilized and then buy:) If it is spoil, warranty may cover it.
