haha, sorry bro, u are the victim of salesman con.

There are certainly no problem with One X hardware, you just kena con from them. I dunno why, many phone sellers wanna push One S to customers badly but i suspect it was due to low demand. The One S sales is very bad (road show in Pavillion not even able to sell more than 200), and i believe they can get higher margin if they are able to sell it. Just my opinion.

One X is a very good phone, One S is good if it is an S4 chip, but malaysian has S3 - this is confirmed. So, One S with S3 bad, S4 good. IT should have been priced lower at maybe 1.2-1.3k for One S S3. The chipset is the same as what u found on last year HTC Sensation.

Anyway, you already bought it. No time to regret, just enjoy and treat it as lesson.

most of the time when i buy gadgets, if the salesman try to con me, i will main him 9 9 lol

there was 1 time this salesman told me laptop i5 got quad core
i told him to prove it to me

went to dxdiag and showed me 4 cpus. i ask him go to windows experience index there, and ask him why got 2.3ghz , 2.3ghz

where's the other 2?

haha. i have similar experience with cameras...
also, it helps if you know how to access the service test menu on the phone. i did it last time when buying my SE C905... even the shop owner also dunno how.

but then ah, core i5 if im not mistaken has 'quad core'. just that it is 2 physical cores, but 4 logic cores. don't ask me why but i suspect it's smth to do with one core 2 threads. (im no expert, but i got my laptop right when i5 came out, so i did a little reading). =p

2 logic core 2 physical core. Just like my lappy has, and known as hyper threading. Anyone remember the Medfield processor? The single core processor with HT too! =)

Please set wifi router channel to 11/1/7, not auto.

Definitively rooting and use custom rom will save a lot battery compared to stock rom...

As far as cores go, not much of a difference since its the software limitation at the moment. Wait till HTC One series gets the Jellybean update, will be super smooth thanks to Project Butter. Using Galaxy Nexus now and its faster than the new Galaxy S3 and HTC One X icon_rolleyes.gif ; thats until both of them get Android 4.1 Jellybean update

TS, One S with S3 chip clocked to 1.7Ghz is a suicidal phone. So, the One X would win the One S with S3 chip anytime. But if you are comparing between the Snapdragon S4 equipped One S with the Tegra 3 equipped One X, my vote goes to the One S.

But best would be One X with S4 chip but that one only LTE. Cannot use in Malaysia. whistling.gif

One XL. Maybe coming to Malaysia. And I don't think it will only use LTE.
