Just flashed AOKP, the text to speech is only working using Pico engine and not google engine in my phone. Pico voice is a bit robotic. Have to wait for a next release...

Nandroid restore to AOSP at the moment.

Not sure what went wrong for your installation but mine does still work using Google natural speech engine and it sounded exactly the same like in stock JB.

Hmmm maybe because I did a dirty flash over bigxie and the tts got carried over? Or is it an isolated problem or known issue for AOKP? Don't see others reporting this issue

Having problem with mms. Done with apn setting. Still can't send o receive mms. Anything else I have to check?
Only realized when somebody sent me a mms...lol

The Google TTS engine comes together with GAPPS, I did fresh AOKP installation and was offered Pico TTS engine only. There might be a conflict after I installed GAPPS.

Which GAPPS source are you using?

last time I bought at RM95 (samsung original)
if you search now at lelong/garage sales here, price range btw RM38-RM128 (3rd party brand - samsung original)

i have both Pico and Google TTS engine.

GAPPS of course from AOKP themselves , y would you use other people modded GAPPS on AOKP ?

if i dont wan to answer, just silent the ringtone.
