Please note that this proposed event is not organised by nor endorsed by Lowyat.NET. Before you choose to participate and/or make a donation, you should conduct all necessary due diligence [RBR]

I actually have an idea on bringing 15-20 kids (age 12-15) to National Science Centre. The ticket per person will be RM 15 but I can sponsor for admission fee (only afford to sponsor that much as I'm a student myself, maximum can sponsor up to RM 300). However, I don't know where to find these kids and also arrangement for transportation. Do anyone experience in bringing kids to a trip to somewhere? If yes, please teach me how cause it's my first time.

Also let me know what you think about this idea

Just go visit them. Oku homes or Orphanage. Buy some books and read it to them. Later you bring them go
Science center one hilang or kena culik. You know la the crime rates nowadays.

It's a good idea. Don't give up in frustration. I too run events and some of them include charity events for kids.

So pm me someday and we could chat up some objectives and ideas.

Good luck.

QUOTE(pisces88 @ Jul 19 2012, 08:48 PM)
hi, you can actually rent a bus. just find a school bus, ask them whether they available on that day and time. then gather the kids at a location, bring them to that place. after that bus will bring them to a location for lunch, and send them back to the pick up point.
*
thx for the suggestion! smile.gif

QUOTE(wodenus @ Jul 19 2012, 08:48 PM)

You just go there and talk to them. I'm sure they'll assist u. Sometimes, they ask you to prepare a paperwork.

You can also use the paperwork to gather sponsors from various company, and make the event bigger...
*
Now only plan to do small event cause first time.. Don't want do big event first.

I'll try my best. But I think you can refer any club at ur uni. Maybe they can teach u abit oh now to do it....

Study which uni?

Study at SEGi Subang Jaya. I sent an email to them just now and I just got their replied. So fast they reply me.

Me email to them:

I had an idea on bringing 15-20 kids (age 12-15) to National Science Centre. The ticket per person will be RM 15 but I can sponsor for admission fee (only afford to sponsor that much as I'm a student myself, maximum can sponsor up to RM 300). I might able to sponsor breakfast (example; sandwiches and water) to them as well. I would love to know if shelterhome interested in it. It just an idea for now.

Regards,
Edwin

Their reply to me:

Dear Edwin,

Thank you so much for your kindness in sponsoring the kids for a day out. Certainly I'm sure the children will love going to the National Science Centre. If you can provide me with the details below we will arrange on our side the rest.

Event type : Visit to National Science Centre
Number : 20 children
Date and Time : When are you planning to do this? Weekends will be better, if week days then the school holidays is prefered.
Contact person : Who shall we liaise with if not your goodself
Contact number : May we have your mobile number?

Do not worry about the meal, we can prepare that on our side and have the chidren bring it with them if the outing takes more than 4 hours. If we keep it within that time and not during meal periods they will manage.

On behalf of Shelter Home for Children, do accept my personal gratitude for all that you are giving to our children.

Feel free to contact me if you require further information or clarification.

Maybe you can call the Science Center and see if they have a program for something like this. I'm sure they'll be able to accommodate some stuff if it's for charity/orphanage.
