QUOTE(chronous @ Oct 22 2012, 11:35 AM) Mine was approved and the card was sent to my house less than a week. Applied online also. Just wonder if you have M2U? You can check if your card is shown down there below your account information. Hm... That is indeed very weird then. Unfortunately I don't have M2U. So I can't check... |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Oct 22 2012, 01:37 PM) Good idea. ThanksAdded on October 22, 2012, 2:01 pmUpdate: Called SC and was told that the card was delivered via pos laju to my house. I check back via the tracking number they gave me and it was sent last Wednesday afternoon.. Haiyo, deliver on work day. Worst still I didn't even receive any note saying post laju came by also. I stay in condo, I think the post laju ppl never even bother to come in thats why no notice was received. So I ask the SC to redirect the parcel to the nearest Maybank branch to my office. Moral of the story: On the form, always tick for Collection of Card as Maybank Branch not Billing Address. This post has been edited by WhitE LighteR: Oct 22 2012, 02:01 PM |

QUOTE(AmmoShaf @ Oct 22 2012, 03:19 PM) One of my colleague just upgrade his cc to Maybankard 2 Platinum Cards. He told me about all the benefits such as redemption of point at petrol station, and many more. I don't know anything about cc but interested to have one(to get the benefits) and i feel uncomfortable to bring lot of cash to pay something. So i need info before applying the card, of course i will not straightly go to the banker as he/she will promote the card with good info only. Where do i start in order to know more about this card? Better use this:http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1973206/+1880 |

QUOTE(sangaran @ Oct 22 2012, 03:51 PM) yup. via email for application submission. but its slow... but you dont have to get off your ass Added on October 22, 2012, 4:10 pm QUOTE(Human Nature @ Oct 22 2012, 03:40 PM) Different, recommendation is dont know which card to apply yet. This one, already know, but need convincingĀ LOL... ok ok in that case I shall give some pros and con base on my POVAmmoShaf: What credit card to get is very much depend on your usage. Some ppl spend more entertainment, some spend more on travel, some just prefer cashback for their regular everyday spending, some prefer offers etc etc... its best that we know your patern of spending before suggesting any card. Take my example, Maybankard2 is good for me coz i pump Shell and their petrol station receive Amex and on weekend you will get an equavelent of 7.5% cashback. If you pump Petronas for example, this no longer apply and the card is useless d, because most Petronas don't accept Amex. Discount offers for Maybank I find to be less then Citibank. But from time to time Maybank does have interesting tied up, for example with R3 for 20-30% discount. Personally that is something good for me in the future. But good thing for this card is as long as you can swipe your Amex, any transaction will give you 7.5% cash back on weekend and 2.5% cashback on weekdays. (Read GenX article how he convert points to cashback for easier comparison). Other advantages is you only need to pay 1 GST payment for 2 cards and the points are evergreen... Now, the disadvantage - Not all place accept Amex. In my case its very very few... Like I say, for shopping discount purpose I keep Citibank because they have alot of offers for women items in particular, so sometimes i will help my gf swipe to get those discounts. Citi also allows me to have RM10 per movie ticket everyday. That is a 16% discount assuming a normal tix price is RM12. And from time to time they have free gifts. So this I clasified as my dating card. For all other dining, groceries shopping, bills, petrol(weekday) I charge to my OCBC Titanium for 5% cashback. Everything else of OCBC is 1% cashback. I dont travel much so I cant speak for travel centric card. Another bad things I've seen reading other ppl comment is that there seems to be alot of fraud case involving MBB Amex card. QUOTE(AmmoShaf @ Oct 22 2012, 05:04 PM) Thank you very much, actually i'm not a big spender. I seldom go out to watch movies and i don't go shopping every week. I want to have a credit card mainly because of petrol redemption(i use this a lot), a little bit of bill payment and a little bit of groceries and most important is to pay for something quite big such as handphone(i don't like to carry RM3000 cash to pay phone the upcoming iphone 5 it always started with the thought of using it to buy "big stuff". i was the same last time. but slowly i will replace my cash usage with card whenever possible. |

QUOTE(AmmoShaf @ Oct 23 2012, 11:04 AM) Thank you, as for starter, i don't think using more than 1 cc is good to me. For now, i don't even know how to use the cc. I think MBB 2 card would suits me best for now because living in Nilai, there are no OCBC branch here for me to make the payment or meet the CS if got some problem later. It is good to know that there are rebate when we book the hotel from Agoda because i used to check in a lot. Some people said, MBB cc are the card with most fraud case, do i need to worry about that? pay online. who walks in to pay bills anymore? |

I have a question regarding MBB2 Amex CCV.
Is it the last 3 digit at the back of the card OR the 4 digit at the front of the card on the right side above card number? |

I've yet to find time to go to a Maybank branch and open an M2U account for my CC. Will I receive a hard copy statement in the mean time?

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Dec 17 2012, 04:13 PM) I think cute_boboi meant opening a Saving Account with MBB where you'll be issued a Debit Card. A little off topic. I realize the other day u can open a Maybank2U Savers Account without actually having a normal savings account. I can see the option there on M2U but I never applied for it.Click below links to read my articles on M2U: My Maybank Platinum Debit Card for My Maybank Credit Cards and Maybankard 2 AMEX for Paying Bills Online with M2U. And to answer your question of paying MBB 2 Cards bills with cheque, read your statement and it will state: Make cheque payable to Maybankard Centre. Previously we were told to make it payable to Maybankard Centre for <your Name as per in your IC> and I still do so up to date. Behind the cheque, write you credit card number, name and contact number. This post has been edited by WhitE LighteR: Dec 17 2012, 06:14 PM |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Dec 18 2012, 10:32 AM) Yeah, can open any type of account actually. As long an account to bank in some money and allow linkage to CC, and online banking / transactions. Actually no, in my M2U there is only 1 option which is to open the M2U Savers Account. I believe all other Saving Account have to go bank to open. |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Dec 18 2012, 11:26 AM) OT: Yes, physically have to goto bank to open account for others. Yes correct. That is what I did.Anyway, to link CC to MBB2u online, you still need to goto counter, and fill up the linkage form. Btw, I find it strange that M2U is not sending a softcopy of my monthly statement after I set to stop sending hard copy. I already set the email all correctly.... |

QUOTE(JonnY @ Dec 18 2012, 11:56 AM) There is option where you request statement to be send to your email everymonth. Have you did that?
