Surprised that Maxis have provided an announcement before Time have. There should definitely be a price reduction for Time customers too.

QUOTE(muttly @ Nov 21 2018, 11:34 AM) Surprised that Maxis have provided an announcement before Time have. There should definitely be a price reduction for Time customers too. It looks like Astro will be removing the rebates given for Astro subscription (eg RM25 rebate for superpacks) when the price reduction is given. I'm sure this will apply to TIME as well when Astro reveal the updated package with TIME. It is totally ridiculous to use broadband price reduction as excuse to remove the rebates for astro subscriptions. |

The astro iptv option... i think they started out all wrong. Shudnt have made it bundle.. shud have provided this as an alternative to normal satellite subscribers, so that during downtime due to factors like rain, one can make the switch to streaming via internet instead of satellite.

My point is Astro shud stop offering both internet service and iptv service altogether... u see, if u want 2 watch astro via internet atm, u have to go through Astro, u dont deal with Time or Maxis directly... there's no benefit subscribing both of them altogether. Same price, late speed upgrade compared to directly sign up with ISP. Sign up both Astro and internet service separately give more flexibility imo Since astro can offer streaming via astro go and iptv, they can also give satellite people the option to stream via internet just like iptv. If bandwidth is a problem, downscale and poorer quality audio. Better than nothing at all during disruption by weather.. use internet as backup to satellite. For the Cisco E1200, it can go up to 4xMbps for wireless, whereas approx 7xMbps by wired. My current plan is 100mbps with Cisco first batch router, but now the wifi connection only 5.2mbps download & 0 Mbps for upload when using time speed test to test. Any idea? Thanks in adv guys! Can you get a Cat5e/Cat6 network cable and hook up to the LAN port of the Cisco E1200 and perform a speedtest again ? |

Hi,
Currently still under AstroIPTV with TIME. Have been using Astro PlugNPlay for about a year already. Just received a call from Astro that they will convert TIME to Astro Fiber by end of the year. Need advice how to separate Time broadband from Astro subscription. I would like to keep the Time Broadband instead of using Astro Fiber. Hopefully with no interruption to the internet connection. Thank you |
