test driven the jetta today. didnt seem as engaging as passat even though it should be a tad bit faster than passat on paper. theres one 2012 used jetta that has mileage less than 15k and comes with 3 times free services:

got offered 138k for 2012 model from FA Wagen. but seem like there are a few pre-reg 2013 jetta ads on mudah selling for rm132-136k. Does 2013 pre-reg has better value than 2012 new car ? I suppose the car depreciation of one more year is worse than being 2nd owner ? Or its the other way round ?

And also is it true that the infamous dsg/mechatronics/clutch pack/ failures happened most likely to 2011 and early 2012 batch of 1.4 TSI ? Are there similar cases happened to late 2012 or 2013 batch (might be too early to judge though) that anyone heard of ?

guys, is it true that a car that manufactured in 2012 but first registered in 2013 still considered as 2013 car ? it still holds its RV same as 'year made2013/year registered 2013' right ?
