QUOTE(zweimmk @ Aug 8 2012, 08:57 PM) Nice drive, comfortable, nice interior although there are some hard plastics. Aside from some annoying rattling from time to time, otherwise a good car. i was told some owners want the electrical folding mirror so the SC is sourcing for the part What it does not have compared to some of its rivals (Japanese/Europeans) - Keyless Entry and Smart Start System (Key push, not key turn) - Tire pressure monitoring system - Full Electric seats (semi-electric) - Electric folding windows (it's manual) - Solar and Security film - Panoramic Roof Go test drive to get a good feel of the car as for the rattling, i read on a forum that you should send it back to SC for rectification.. i hear some squeaky sounds during test drive |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Aug 29 2012, 04:37 PM) I bought the CKD Passat, it's basically a CBU unit with CKD sticker. My SA said that the plant here isn't ready to assemble any CKD cars yet, LOL. Even my relative who works in VW SC has confirmed the CKD unit is actually CBU. CKD means the car has locally purchased parts that add up to 30% of the vehicle's total component cost. the SA told me they fix the doors here but she refuse to disclose what else.. unless VW bribed the gov Everything is good so far and I'm happy. |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Aug 30 2012, 03:13 PM) I'm happy with the car and that's good enough for me. Plus, I doubt my Uncle will lie to me anyway. Btw, VW is franchised by DRB Hicom here isn't it? I wonder who it is linked to here? btw why dont they ckd the rest ? This post has been edited by replymela: Aug 30 2012, 03:23 PM |

QUOTE(phas3r @ Sep 29 2012, 01:06 PM) the VW forum is dead for now, but got 1 forummer there settled the rattle issue by going KKLau http://www.kklau.com.my/ my concern is also the aftersales.. 1 month waiting list for servicing like audi? RM1600 for all. they take out every single thing that are loose and put back again. no more rattle he said Added on September 29, 2012, 1:07 pm deym. from city to polo to gti. good upgrade |
