Gents, any news on the CKD Jetta? Plan to own one, but was turn off by the fabric seats in current CBU unit...

I thought current CBU units import from Mexico, to maintain reasonable price (still too high imho) they opted for fabric seats. but if CKD maybe they can add a trim with leather seats? yes?

wondering why no news at all as it is suppose to roll out by end of this year...

I did, and never regret. With black leather the car is so much classy now.
will do DRL as well, but got to wait for stock.

You basically would expect 2K plus for full leather, and over 3K for Nappa, your choice to wrap door trim or not.
But the whole process might take a few days, depending on how they do it.

Added on November 12, 2012, 11:55 pmPolo Sedan already CKDed, so as Passat. Jetta CKD is supposed to roll out 4Q this year according to VW.
Polo sedan comes with NA engine, no tsi no dsg, cant say I m surprised with the low selling coz at 100K, many alternatives out there for competition.
Jetta on the other hand, was hit by the high selling price (150K without insurance), but no leather seat, no HID, no LED DRL, no touch screen head unit. Most ppl would rather go for more iconic golf tsi at similar price range, or forge out another 20K for full spec-ed passat ckd.
