QUOTE(chongmelvin2238 @ Jul 18 2012, 09:15 AM) Anyone know the URL to YouTube showing changing HU and speakers for scirocco. Trying to understand how much of dismantle work involves. God knows how bad i want to install rns and reverse camera... But that will only void my warranty.. So have to use the stock for another 4 years and 50 weeks.. QUOTE(phas3r @ Jul 18 2012, 02:24 AM) what do you drive? I have 1.4 rocco. Its 2 weeks old now mileage at 200km only. Waiting for bro KC to opti coat the car beore long distance travel.. White color difficult to maintain, right...

QUOTE(everclear @ Jul 21 2012, 02:51 PM) I chipped the paint at the bottom tip of the door when it hit some concrete. The color is United Grey. Should I buy some paint to touch up myself (if so where do I get the paint?) or can go to any car paint shop to touch up? The chipped area is around the size of a watermelon seed. Thanks. QUOTE(omichael @ Jul 28 2012, 09:26 AM) No push start or electronic seat. The difference in torque and HP is the same as between Golf TSI and Golf GTI. On paper it looks like not much difference, but the power delivery feels very different. Test drive both to appreciate I love rocc because of the design.. Dont really need power.. Not that i always race on my way to office/home.

QUOTE(adrian23 @ Jul 28 2012, 11:29 AM) No definitely not buying or won't be buying because of push start but just tht according to now, most of the car alreay filled with push start button, and electronic seat especially at this point of price.. Just feel a bit wasted... Other concern also electronic seat might be a little tricky as scirocco only have 2 doors, fetching additional people willl need to forward n backward seat so electronic better o not? 2.0 is best but out of budget.. 60k additional with additional Hp, electronic seat, leather seat, better entertainment unit (rcd510)... Any 1.4 tsi scirocco owner can share some pict of interior... Couldn't search much thru Internet as different countries have different specs... Thanks a lot .. i cannot help but to post pics of my rocc here. its only 1.4 and i just got it about 4 weeks ago » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « took this picture the same day i have her from showroom.

QUOTE(Royrogers @ Aug 1 2012, 07:21 PM) If you love those features, my advise is to enjoy those features as it comes with the car and you have already paid the price for it. You should not worry about battery life, etc. Otherwise, you might as well get a cheaper car without those premium features. And most production cars are already run in before it goes to the showrooms. Again, do not be afraid to rev your car. I went 200kmh the first week i got my car. It's a Golf, enjoy it! +1 summore got 5 years unlimited mileage warranty right?

QUOTE(auronthas @ Aug 1 2012, 10:12 PM) If there's not much an maintenance issue, I will keep Golf forever. Just like Beetle ... I ask about the resale value as my Toyota Altis depreciate approx. 50% after six years. all car like that mah. my dad bought his mercedes S280 brand new around RM650k in 2006. this year wanna let go, market price already RM110k. WTF. that is 83% depreciate in 6 years. I dont really care about resale value. i just wanna enjoy my ride while inside the car "bau kedai". p/s: i wonder if there exist "bau kedai" car perfume in market. hehehe.

QUOTE(sas28 @ Aug 6 2012, 10:43 PM) Hi Fellow VWers, Newbie here and loving the VW discussion here Getting a Polo Sport soon, test drive twice at diff showrooms and love it so much! Both SA at the showrooms (222 & TTDI) were also kind and helpful. Now I'm just undecided which color to take, Black (available now) or Red (coming Sept batch) Any suggestions from VWers here ? Reddddd. Its worth the wait

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(speedbird90 @ Aug 16 2012, 11:52 AM) Hey guys, I'm looking into installing a piggy. Racechip to be specific. http://www.racechip.de/racechip-chiptuning...TSI-3453-r.htmlOnly one question, if you look at the details and specs, the difference between pro and ultimate is only 1% charging / 1kW / 1 PS / 3 NM of torque I was quoted a price difference of RM300 between the two, ultimate being RM300 more expensive than the pro. My main question is, is the extra RM300 worth it? IMO it's mainly for the faster processor and core. Of course the ultimate comes in a better casing etc. Does the processor really play a big part here? Also I'm driving a golf tsi 1.4, will the 7-speed dry clutch be a problem? And can the gearbox handle the increased torque? Thanks for your replies. kena poison already.. which one is better? race chip or swiss-chip?

QUOTE(auronthas @ Aug 18 2012, 09:36 AM) 2nd time refueling. (1st time was I just got my new golf 1.4 tsi). Average FC is 10 l/km, 80% city/20% highway, mostly short distance trip, 15 min. to office. Mileage still below 1000km, hope the FC will reduce to 8 - 9 l/km. Achievable? Mine is third refuelling already... But the fc doesnt improve at all. Maybe takes time eh edit: eh, 4th time refueling already. Still same fc. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by hapeace: Aug 18 2012, 01:20 PM

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(thefryingfox @ Aug 19 2012, 04:29 PM) one technique is they look at your boost value. With these piggyback - your boost will be operating at a higher level Ie original max boost 1.2 bar but post box, maybe 1.4-1.5 bar? This can easily explain why the car has performing so much more better - do you really think they stupid? maybe close one eye but when claim for parts exp turbo, gearbox etc, they will look at your parameters and if they are off the scale, then u are screwed Aiyohh.. If like that have to postpone another 4 years la. I bought this car because of the warranty. Otherwise i might go for recon one. 1.4 rocco brand new is same price like recon 2.0 rocco 2009 or 2010.

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Aug 29 2012, 04:37 PM) I bought the CKD Passat, it's basically a CBU unit with CKD sticker. My SA said that the plant here isn't ready to assemble any CKD cars yet, LOL. Even my relative who works in VW SC has confirmed the CKD unit is actually CBU. Everything is good so far and I'm happy. If its actually cbu, then why they try so hard to label it ckd. Just proudly declare it as cbu lah. I wonder what they are trying to prove.
