one thing about uprating engine performance output,
higher torque churning out from the engine can potentially kill your gearbox in the long run
- wet 6 speed dsg (DQ250) on 2.0 TSI engines are rated up to 350nm
passat cc r line 3.6 v6 engine is not exceeding this manufacturer limit
- dry 7 speed dsg (DQ200) on TSI engine below 2.0 are rated up to 250nm
polo gti & passat 1.8tsi is on 250nm
i mean surely those engine can go pass this torque limit, but they want the DSG to last in the long run
VW group does have better dsg box for higher torque limit (550nm)
- DQ500 (transverse engine, Audi TT RS 450nm)
- DL501 (longitudinal engine, Audi S4 440nm)
Dont the gearbox comes with torque limiter? It should and the ECU will know when to cut power.higher torque churning out from the engine can potentially kill your gearbox in the long run

Even if you exceed - torque limiter will cut the power as soon as you hit this.
