just for sharing..... 3 weeks ago..... another so called DSG/Mechatronic failure and this time, it was me... :-)

after 2 years @ 46k Mileage... my 2011 polo finally broke down with the gear box problem... they say its mechatronics problem and need to replace it with a new 1... my car is currently still under warranty and can claim.. imagine 2 years old car having this type of problem is so unreliable man!! what happen if your warranty over? i ask him how much does it cost to fix it if no warranty, he say prepare at least RM15k...          so guys, better note on that.. now it make me think to sell my car before the warranty over.
they also tell me, the 1st 2 years warranty they can close 1 eye and claim from vw... for the last 3 years, they need to photocopy ur service book and other stuff as a proof and submit to their insurance for claim.. i just done my 45k mileage service and he told me 60k service is around RM2k (for polo) i actually thought of servicing outside for the 60k mileage before i get this gearbox problem.. now i have to think over d.. 

no wonder certain brand car owners are so butt hurt and need to justify their purchases...

Hi guys, I am considering Passat at the moment. I like to know if the CKD quality ok? The SA told me only minor parts like lights are assembled at the local plant, is that true? I also asked him about the gb problem and the SA acknowledged that by assuring me if that happen, it will be a 1 to 1 exchange as long as the warranty still valid and I followed the rules and regulations, that is service promptly and never late. Correct? I don't feel alright about such enforcement cos where's the joy of having vw? I don't want to be treated like a school kid and I need to always remind myself about the discipline!

Anyway, Passat is really a great car, I like the design, the space etc. But I am not convinced by the gb & warrant condition. I assume the rv of this car should be holding up well in line with camry, accord and better or not less than mazda 6?

Car can't startup yesterday, technician came and jump start.  So many warning light end up tow to SC.  I thought is battery problem, seem a lot of troublesome.
