Seem like more news on S3 quality control.

The metallic edge has cracks. I also have them, at all four corners which seem to be manufacturing process but the pictures showed some have cracks even on the straight edge.
*
wow. now that you've mentioned it. I see it now. Looks so strategic. Maybe it's not a crack but it's 4 pieces of metallic plating put together.

Sorry... a bit off topic...

Anyone having problems with Google Chrome (PC to Google Account) syncing?

Whenever I try to sync, it says Google chrome could not sync your data because it could not connect to the sync server

Anyone tried Wanamlite 1.8? Apparently with CRT-OFF, fixed wifi-direct, allshare, and also reduced wake-lag

Let it right? (Biar betul?)

Any who, I'm on Wanam 18 and it's smooth sailing with Siyah latest. Zero issues (except the ever present lag to get back to launcher from ANYWHERE - must be me enabling "gentle fair sleepers").

Now on an ebay spree. Just snagged me a blue Neo Hybrid Lumi to match me ICS blue themes.

Next gotta get some colourful KFC (lol) tags, any good ebay sellers?
*
Oops... missed that it's not Micro... I knew it was too good to be true.

Downloading 1.8. Yeah, hitting back home from anywhere is indeed always an issue. the wake lag however, i hope to see it reduced though...

Damn. I like those Neo Hybrid Lumi looks. How much did you get them for?

Hnmm... Reading the CM10 discussion thread... I wonder how much more smoother our SIII could get? I already felt that the SII was Damn smooth already. SIII was only smoother by a hairs margin... What could JB
Do?

Wow... When You say 60fps minimum, it does DEFINITELY have some burn issues on our battery life. Which on our phone now has proven to be one of its plus points.

However, I don't think it's just about running at 60fps that makes it so smooth. I'm sure scaling and some governor issues are tweaked as well. Only transitions are affected by fps. Though also, transitions are a big part of UX. reminds me on how we tweaked transitions.ini files in our N900 back in the day

Hahaha. Transitions.ini. I remember that. Funny how we've been through three of the same phones lol. N900 -> S2 -> S3 (though I had a i4 for a while after the N900 haha).

Still, 60fps minimum for JB is not just for the transitions IINM. It's for EVERYTHING in the UI. Web page scrolling/scrolling in general, animated UI elements... everything chugs along at 60fps, even progress bars. Even going up and down menu lists is gonna be like melted butter.

IINM lar.

That's why people are so pumped up on PB.
*
Now that you brought it up.. PBhhtt.. yeah. We had 3 of the same phones. I didn't get the iPhone of course. Just couldn't get a grip on it mentally... not too shabby a device though.

shocking.gif 60fps on EVERYTHING? hmm... that has to be experienced then.. to see if it indeed shakes up to be like that without ANY form of trip or stuttering. Cause also, stuttering can still happen on high frame rates.... I think that's why it boasts a 12 Core GPU. I think just to sustain that 60fps on EVERYTHING...

It'll take some kinda horsepower eh?

But cheers definitely to Google for thinking about making that happen thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Well, since most are talking about pirated apps.

Which app that really needs to be pirated that is so expensive that we desperately need??? So far, most games have discount months and I bought SUPERB games like Dead Space, Anomaly, MC3, DoodleJump(huhuhu), Shadowgun, SuperKOBoxing, Cross Court Tennis, Dead Trigger all at $0.99-$2.99.

Meaning that... the most expensive game ever bought was like less than RM10.

OK right?

this is not solution...this is workaround >.<
i personally find this is a serious problem....

Experience in SII also shows that you need to use an app like EXT2SD or some other app to transfer it to the External SD card.

I think it has something to do with our phone not having a UMS mode. is it? didn't read the XDA forums though...

To me, it's seriously a non issue cause.... erm... Difficult to run out of space in internal cause all I have for internal storage is apps. EVERYTHING else in external SD... which runs out quickly. Eyeing for the 64GB one

Agreed, should normally not clear RAM. (I only do it when I cannot launch any app due to not enough memory and just closes/crashes - main culprits are mainly news apps like Star and MalaysianInsider)
Long pressing home button only shows recently used apps i.e. shortcuts; it does not show running Apps.
=>IMHO, clearing it has no RAM impact

For display active applications:
Install the Application monitor widget from SamsungApps.
*It also allows you to clear RAM which is not normally needed

For display running cached processes:
Go to Settings->Application Manager->Running tab
*
Nope. It does show recent apps that's for sure. But if one of your running apps are in the list, swiping it off does close the app

1. About navigation, if I'm not mistaken the only reason why navigation is not available worldwide has something to do with security issue. If I'm not mistaken, gps turn by turn requires security clearance from that state. I only read somewhere la... Some time ago. That's why for US it is enabled cause Google has that navit clearance there. For other nations, they didn't ask OR don't plan to ask... Not sure which one... Cause it's definitely doable...

2. Final fantasy discount? Fingers crossed
