im also an ex18250 user, sold it for 1.4k after using for 6 month. my 1870 and 55-200 is both sharper.

Another supporter of A57&18-135mm lens here.  Great lens for any scenes, including macro(not that macro that can take a bee's legs with hair lah). Quite good on focusing and is silent for a SAM lens. A happy and satisfied user of A57M.
I have a funny feeling, I think my P&S performs slightly better on landscape photography.

michael9413, I love shot #7 where the grass blades forms a frame to enclose the sun, yet the sun's rays is like trying to break free away from the enclosure. Very nice work on that one!

A99 with SAL1635Z. 125s, F18.0, 16mm, ISO50, AWB, RAW. ND8 used.
Made a wrong estimate on the shutter speed and had to push the exposure real bad (more than +2ev) and do heavy noise reduction later. Not recommended. Will have to do better next time! Never give up!

1. Been taking pic wif my a580 for almost a year.
2. dont know how many picture have been taken, but can said that most of my picture is using 1855.
3. was thinking that if 1855 + 55200 = 18200 or 18250 in term of quality ?? if same y not have 1 lens instead of 2 lenses
4. find that 1855 is a bit too short and i tend to take picture from quite a distance for natural picture of my frens and family.
5. but the ultimate is that i wan good quality picture..~~
