He's not. Most lawyers would do the same. Most companies would rather pay up because it would cost them more to defend it. Remember the lady who sued McD because the coffee was too hot? same principle. Sue large companies with money, because they would rather pay you than fight it.

It's up to you and your conscience/sense of ethics whether you want to do this or not, but it can be done
