You should terminate when the contract ends, if not, they will continue to charge you on monthly base.
Earn a lesson and pay/end the contract today. |

I should learn a lesson? Then the company just continue to charge any other customer who doesn't have a basic in law just because everybody think that it is a lesson for them and just pay for it? I don't mind if the charge was smaller than the charges before or at least the same although I don't use it at all...but this is more than that without any usage..and don't even bother to call for extension of contract or whatsoever...

Well, still a lesson learned? Money-suckers or not, under contracts, companies will "assume" that you'll still be using their service as long as the contract is not terminated. Also, even if you don't use it for the following month, the charges will still be there.
My advice, clear it of quickly. This post has been edited by digitalz: Jul 16 2012, 03:47 PM |

No choice bro, clear your bill now to cut loses, that is how they do business... If you can pay for your passed bills (RM150... wow), why can you pay those pending bills? If you have no money now, what about credit card? You can pay the balance next month. |

where got such thing as "cannot terminate your the line until u settle your bill"
I also have enough with this telco. they are blood suckers. i had an experience with streamyx too. i so called owe them 720rm. but i termiated my line. but i still owe them 720rm until today. i won't f***ing pay. i written an official complaint already. so i take it as closed. if they come back and f*** with me, i will take it to the supreme court. if people don't use the line and the contract expire, can't u right a simple program to detect that and terminate the god damn line. don't f*** with us users. i suggest u give them a fight of your life. but if u did use the line after may, u need to pay lor..........so for u different case a bit. but is your right to terminate your line whether u pay or not. QUOTE(ramz @ Jul 16 2012, 04:41 PM) Yes, damn bloodsuckers...He's case different because service provider won't terminate your account after contract ends. You need to cancel/take new contact or they will keep using old rate even though that rate no longer active. Btw, since your contact ended, you can actually change to their newest/cheapest(without contract) plan... it is your fault that you keep quiet and didn't do anything. Maybe you can try complain like ramz did and maybe you'll get discount. |

TS your case is no such thing as contract over they will terminate its your mistake for not knowing it and calling and informing nobody do termination like tat. You need go to the centre to do termination. Btw even you call they will tell you to go their centre to do termination.
Business is business its like you owe people money then you call them bloodsucker? What official letter to show you terminated the line? You dont use the number what does that got to do with digi? The bill is still running ? its like u subscribe astro but you dont watch means you dont need pay? Still must pay right? You try to cheat the telco for not paying then you call them blood suckers? You are kidding me. Which part of the contract said that? Your mistake admit it and pay it then move on. In some ways telco are blood sucker but not in every way your way is you are cheating the telco. Your mistake and you want discount? You better think of a good reason This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Jul 16 2012, 08:40 PM |

Dude...the fact is they are charging me more than usual for the monthly...that is the most upsetting part...not the part that I have to pay them monthly...if it is still 150...I still don't mind eventhough it hurts...and the fact that I need to clear my payment before teminating the line...plus they don't even bother to call and offer a new contract...2 years subscribing to them and this is how I ve been treated...

Agreed. It's all about communication to your valuable customer. If your contract expire they should be the want to prompt you. It's blood sucking attitude if they just assume we want to renew the contract. Even if the fine lines in the original contract say it can automatically renew without customers consent, that is by principal wrong to do. This practice is unfair to the customer. |

been in this situation twice..
first time with maxis have to pay over RM 300 to terminate the line. Fukk that time im still a student and i was like "ahhhhh.. there it goes my PTPTN...." second time with TM streamyx when the contract ended, i was out of town for 5 months. so i go to nearest TMnut to terminate the line. the fukking things is, the TMnut told me that i need to go back home where i sign the contract just to terminate it. are u fukking serious??? ok ok la I still can bear to be patient. so i ask them nicely to stop the bill (because there's no one at my house, so no one will use the internet) and i will pay once i go back home like 5 months later. but they told me the same, need to go back home where i sign the contract to stop the bill. the things is, me myself need to go there, cannot send anyone else on behalf. or the bill will run as usual even though no one using the line, at all... WTF??? out of nowhere, suddenly i feel like boiling water raging to the max. FUUKKK U ALL LARHHH. WILL NEVER PAY U BLOOD-SUCKER MINDFARKKK. till now i never pay them even a single demm cent. last time i check, i have a debt over RM 800 with TMnut and it was 2 years ago. true story.. |

That's right bro...I don't think its a healthy practice for them to use the law just for their own customer...if that's the case..malaysian should only have lawyers

It's the consumer rights. When I was staying elsewhere, everything was about complaints, consumer rights and all those stuff. To be honest, Malaysians, including myself, always take things for granted very easily, there are things that we should/shouldn't do but we always end up doing the opposite. Even with T&Cs, black and whites (contracts), I bet 99% of the people just skim through it. =/ In your case, they are charging you more, mainly (my best guess): - They can't "prompt" you to renew your contract as the plan that you've signed up for the other time is not available anymore so they are charging you the normal rate. Now, since it's this way, you have a case to argue but this will take some time. 1 - Write an official complaint to Consumer Tribunal & Digi and wait for their reply. |

Yeah bro...thanx...its not the payment that is important..but when they simply charge u...the least they could do is to contact u before the contract ended or maybe tell me about the payment before I signed the contract...even singapore are far better in customer service compared to our country...

Well, to be fair to them, some of my friends got their calls asking if they wanna extend their contracts and others from Digi before their contracts ended.
I use both Digi and Maxis and sometimes, I find that Digi's Customer Service works better than Maxis's. |

Dude...that's the first reason I switched from maxis to digi...but frankly this telco services will be the same when they become well known because ordinary people like can't do anything about their company...that is why now I'm using umobile..because they are still climbing to be the top telco...n I believe they will suck to when they have reach millions customer...so far I ve never heard any bad things bout celcom only...but I'm a bit afraid to try it...huhu

Screw DIGI.....you keep on posting and make a scene at their pay counters. Sooner or later they will do "settlement" with you.

Haha...I hope that I wouldn't have to go that far...I just want a fair settlement because it is ridiculous for me to pay extra when I pay less plus a free phone...huhu...
