Hi, as per title I would like to know which (housing) area in Johor actually near Singapore kastam, so that traveling and working in Singapore everyday would not that time-consuming. Currently the rental in S'pore (per room) is like... wow...

Please state the area... taman ??? Hopefully there will not be any general answer like "Johor Bahru", "Pasir Gudang", "Endau"... thanks.

what is ur preferred travel time from the housing area?

this is important, as some housing areas are quite close to the CIQ, but riddled with traffic lights, while others are a bit further, but can use the highway directly.

Yea I understand. I dont mind to wake up extra early to avoid the crowd. I am not familiarize with Johor. But I am trying to search for a place which has "lower" criminal rate and the best if that "housing area" has the public transport to reach the kastam/CIQ. Because apparently once step-in Singapore, then i would be ok d.

The rental in Singapore even per room is damn high d. (SGD 800 per month, I believe can rent a house, or even buy a house perhaps in Johor?-monthly installment I mean)

Which custom to be exact?

Old custom any where near Sentosa, Pelangi, should do.

New custom Perling/Bukit Indah should do.

Recently JB lots of dangerous activity goin on ~! My house got an uninvited visitor thrice a month surveying for a place to break-in. Are you staying alone~? If yes, I recommend you to rent an apartment with security. There's plenty near town area, just 10 minutes to Causeway & lots of transportation. Golden Sands Apartment, Indah Samudra Apartment, Petrie Condo & Apartment ~! Can consider KSL apartment too ....

If you entering from tuas check point, you might consider the apartment near that checkpoint area, can't remember the name. I stay there last time when I'm working in SG. From the house to my workplace just 15-20 min (not peak time).

If you entering from woodlands, I may suggest:
- house near the convent school (can't remember the name)
- pelangi
- kebun teh (the same area with KSL mall and holiday plaza)
- stulang (also have low cost flat)
