QUOTE(fulat @ Jul 31 2012, 11:59 AM) for the tag along GP battery.. it last for a month for. for normal ever ready battery is about the same also. If like that, I think I better unplug mine. Having to plug it back on every time does kinda takes away any convenience the Tag might have served. Better off with just plain ole T&G card.

I think Arthur means he installed too much rubber lining till it's difficult to close the door. When he opens, the door would sort of bounces/springs out. QUOTE haha... thats just the "air tight" effect must be Don't think it's air tight. Just too tight or too little clearance between metal and rubber. QUOTE(acwatzzup @ Jul 31 2012, 03:36 PM) DIY very subjective.. make sure the gap is seal.. then is ok d.. wind noise produced when a strong wind blow through a small gap.. Like this then ..
I noticed Preve comes originally with such a lip at the top of the door, presumably to seal off the gap/longkang between door and frame. Should be these little gaps that produce a whistling sound at high speeds. The air shouldn't be coming into the car but being located that near, the high pitch whistle seeps into the cabin. QUOTE(arthur88 @ Jul 31 2012, 03:42 PM) arent those small holes are for water to run through? under preve front doors, bottom side, got 4 such holes...end up i need to cut small2 the rubber to fit the holes... Yeah, I see some pics with rubber covering those holes. Don't think it's a good idea to have your own private aquarium in the door. This post has been edited by BartS: Jul 31 2012, 03:46 PM

QUOTE(fulat @ Aug 2 2012, 09:41 AM) so there is many more happy customer out side which dont come here because they have no reason to go around to search for a solution i guess. i saw many preve around nowadays. especially at PeeJay. i saw at least 3 per day now. just to point out to certain complain like engine sound too loud. i think thats not a problem. if u all hate it so much.. can always look for alternative like sound proof. pillar A pillar C wind noise. can always look for alternative getting the sound proof rubber and DIY. its easy. so those are not an issue for me. QUOTE(fulat @ Aug 2 2012, 09:49 AM) i really feel like wanna take a ride on those owner car to see thats the owner problem or the car problem. +1 Apart from the power window, I have no complaints about my car. Perhaps I'm not demanding enough for my 73K. This post has been edited by BartS: Aug 2 2012, 10:42 AM

For those who did Big-D/Small-D rubber thingies and find closing the door difficult. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « * Green arrow is the direction that your door should close onto the rubber. If you stick it side way & the door closes on the rubber from the side like how the red arrow depicts, then it's much stiffer and harder to compress. Hence more effort is required to slam the door shut.
* Do not to have Big-D here. If you really must have additional rubber here, try small-D instead. * The original rubber around your door has perforated holes in them to dispel air when compressed. Try not to pasang your rubber in one long strip. Sambung-sambung a bit to allow air to escape. If door is difficult to close, then you probably did it wrongly.

QUOTE(kiapreve @ Aug 2 2012, 10:51 AM) One limitation that i noticed in our Preve Bluetooth HU. If the radio is On and we are answering a phone call, our caller cannot listen our voice properly even they HU had swap the voice channel from radio to phone, they may heard some unclear sound mixed with our radio channel. I remember reading the same query many times earlier in the thread. Everyone asks .. "Where's the mic?". Unless I'm mistaken, the HU has no mic. Try speaking towards the direction of your phone instead. I stuck the cradle that comes with Yes huddle onto the windscreen & place my phone there. Have to lean forward a bit when I'm speaking.
