Admitted my white preve to Proton Edar SC Jalan Lahat Ipoh this morning

Showed the SA my video of engine sound during starting and he confirmed that it's OWV problem

He said it will take 2-3 days to rectify the problem

Hopefully no more problem after that

Sorry to hear from you guys that we are facing more or less the same problems over and over again. What the hell proton is doing? Making us have to back SC again and again, wasting our time and money. Don't they have qualified expert who can give proper training to their guys? Really don't know what else to say...just pray and hope all our problems will be solved asap and let us have a relax mind and enjoy our ride...

Don't know which gajah open their car door so rough and cause a dent on my driver door yesterday. doh.gif .I always do a round on my car every morning to make sure everything is ok. Now can see the bullet mark liao.. cry.gif

Dhuang Duang,
are u the lucky one that have no major problem like me or u can resolve it all? it seems u are the only one dont complain.

rich8833,
i dont know.. but for me. i always believe putting a soft rubber at the door side will help to prevent your car door slam on others. maybe i am just being considerate or i am kiasu that scare someone do that to me. sweat.gif

to all,
OWV might sounded serious but if there is no oil leak, please leave it alone. before that i knew someone just because of the sound complaint to SC. SC finally replaced him a new OWV but oil leak even worst.. if cant.. please bear with the OWV sound. it doesnt happen only to preve. there are some other car do have this sound too. same like the windows when windows up.. the driver seat's board come out a bit. its normal for others brand too.

my 2cents.

Bro Dhuang is happy camper....satisfied customer...rest of us...well, all I can say can live with the minor defects..solve it when going to SC for regular servicing...taking 1 day leave for this is not cost efficient.

I am still facing a very light heart beat vibration in the car passenger seat... and fuel consumption 40KM per bar.
Power window gluk gluk sound come back, very not serious as last time.

All the problems already make me feel that a probs is not a problem anymore.

No more feels...

Don't have so mch time and energy to argue with them...

Coming next service, if they cannot solve all the problem, sure i will give them another 9966 vmad.gif .

Once happened to me while I'm still in the car at the car park. This fella park besides my car & suddenly this Gajah (his mother I think..) open the door inconsiderably and "debukk" touched my car. Stare at her but she quickly called his son & walked away.. Never bothered to say sorry despite realizing there's ppl inside the car.. Haishh.. What do u expect from rude youngsters nowadays since their mom is like that.. doh.gif

I think I fall into the both category fulat bro. Thank God so far nothing major happened to my car yet & the small2 matter one resolved by myself.

To tell u the truth, I listed down my minor one:

1. Cracked tail lamp upon collection > Changed by CAT
2. Boot opened up once a day after took up the car > Rctified by CAT
3. Wiper have scratch sound > FOund out the rubber lining was out of place. Self rectified
4. Got krek krek sound at rear seat/3rd brake lamp > Self rectified.

The only one not able to self rectify yet is my driver side auto up windows mis alligned. Need more time to study the guide one of u guys put up before.

But, believe me, there a lot of us out there who was fully satisfied or minor complaint. Just look at Whitelighter, that guy among the earliest owners Sir Nevio, our very own FenomX who's car been cursed with bad luck only, no problem other than that. Anyhow if u ask me whether I'm satisfied, my answer is a definite YES!

Sometimes i am feel very weird, how could the car exports to oversea with very minor defects, and the car that our rakyat get with so many defects and end up they blame at their vendor?

Is Rakyat probs or Proton probs? rakyat expectation is too high?

so there is many more happy customer out side which dont come here because they have no reason to go around to search for a solution i guess.

i saw many preve around nowadays. especially at PeeJay. i saw at least 3 per day now.

just to point out to certain complain like engine sound too loud. i think thats not a problem. if u all hate it so much.. can always look for alternative like sound proof.

pillar A pillar C wind noise. can always look for alternative getting the sound proof rubber and DIY. its easy. so those are not an issue for me.

There are a few spots on the bonnet where the paint has chipped off. Proton has approved it and now the car is with COSE for the next 3-4 days, hopefully.

Other issues which I have highlighted to the SA,
- side mirrors are not in sync when folding/unfolding
- told them to apply sealant to the small gaps created at the joints on the window exterior rubber lining on the driver side and also the small window at the left rear > those are the 2 of 3 causing the wind noise for my car
- driver's back rest is making noise when leaning against it
- rear suspension making noise when going over road humps
- rattling sound at the dashboard
- whistling sound seemingly coming from the left A pillar but will disappear when air circulation is switched off

I consider all the above are minor issues but would just like them to be sorted out for good.

BTW, no one seems to be manning the Preve Executive Counter...

Ahaha..bro...happy camper is an American idiom..means satisfied user. Anyway, to recap what bro mat79 said yesterday, poor QC on the parts could be due to locally sourced materials. This is because to meet the local content requirement for national car classification and tariff exemption?

Anyway, if the parts like power window, boot lock, rubber lining suppllied by reputable manufacturer from overseas, means less problem. At least i think that is what he said. Furthermore DRB-Hicom should do better a job to audit the vendors so no sub standard parts are given to us.

Hopefully DRB really can solve all of their vendor probs.

No wonder, my CRM Trainner said "Proton had no hope if they still stick to the same vendor" based on what their team is audit and research on all of the Malaysia company business flow and business direction.

The culture and business direction is hard to change due to political issue.

Oh silly me. blush.gif Sorry for my limited knowledge.. Hehehe Thanks bro!

Well, in term of parts IMHO it's really is a grey area. Heard that ppl said Proton got too tied up with politics causing/forcing them to buy parts from less reputable vendor thus causing all this sorts of problems to the users. As most of u know, many of the millionaire-wannabe out there who used their connections to get richer in quick way.

Well, by saying that it's so because to comply with all the ruling, it may be just a way to sugar coat the reality to it. Hehehe
