Getting my Preve is 2 weeks time. Hope to join all of you guys as a community.

Chassis number given was 8444. Can i know if this is the newer batch or the older (and slightly problematic) batch?

Hoping to get a reply and not get lost in this thread. Thanks.

Need to ask my SA for the engine number. But those batches with the OWV problem cant be determined thru chassis number bro?

Hopefully I do nit get a lemon. Heavily rely on my car for work purposes.

Hey all.

Getting my car this coming monday. Already planned a list of this to add on to the car.

1) Soundproof rubber strip from faifai as his design is the latest one. Although he recommended the small D instead of the big D strip. Anyone can recommend which would be better? Small or big?

2) Chrome lining at the window for a more executive feel. And mybe the wheel arches as well, but a fine example would be like the Honda Accord.

3) Q-Max 3 point grounding (photo conductor). Might be a test mule for this and will write a review on it later. VS I will decide later on.

4) Lastly, a fine coat of Sierra glow on the car.

Do share any experience on all this mods if you have done them and recommend other mods that can be done on the Preve.

One seller in automotive garage is selling the chrome lining. Have to DIY yourself.

Just to ask, is it normal that the engine vibrates alot? Until power steering fluid also goyang. And the air filter housing shake also.

Didnt check the engine part tho. Means ill go to sc to rectify.

After got out from driving got some burnt smell, which i guess is the brakes? But didnt drive fast also.

Just now test lenjan the car. Past 2k when the boost comes in, there is a 'flap flap flap' sound, like paper flapping in the wind.

Could it be the turbo units? Or any beltings?

Noise at the C pillar is still there.

The burnt smell is really smelly. Smells like burnt engine oil. The kind you smell on an old datsun with blue smoke.

I straight away pump 97. RM 114. Sakit woo.

Really missed the time when petrol was rm 1 per liter. Cant remember if it was ron 92 or 97.

But i was still small back then. Lol.

My whole family has been with esso. Or Petron now.

My experience last time in my old satria, petronas no power but fuel saving. Shell 95 is good for long distance. Very good mileage with it. Esso is actually so so. But since my CC give good rebates with esso, stick with it.

Mine is public bank. Cant recall how much rebate they give, but this card is purely for petrol only. usually they advertise at the pump itself the credit card.

Other benefits like F&B tarak. For me, i just need the cc for the petrol rebate and for emergencies only. No need so many cc.

Because my dad works in exxon mobil. So besides that got employee benefit rebate as well
