My ESC light is on when ESC is activated and the light didn't go off until i off the engine.  As per my understanding, the light should be blinking when ESC is activated.

The Jerking..... It is like driving a manual car but you didn't use the lower gear when the power is not there.  The "power supply" is not enough to move the car..

You are in SC now?  please help me to check with the technician there whether there know what how to fix it...  notworthy.gif

huh... ESC activated only if the light blinking? u sure?

for the jerking sound.... tempt use u can use shiftronic gear 2 to resolve it.. dont let it go gear 1... move your car with 2. it should have or reduce the jerking effect a little bit... wait later see Liew's preve jerking resolve or not.. if yes then we give u who to see at EON Jalan 227 and fix your problem. Liew's car have the same jerking effect like yours. and a oil mechanic are looking into it seems he might have confident to fix it.

nope... after i files my "things to fix" at the counter. show my mechanic incharge for my case... talked so some mechanic.. went breakfast with Liew and now i at office.. picking up my car later at 4pm.

Speaking of tyres, has anyone noticed that Preve has less rolling resistance? Take this for an example ..

As you approach a road hump, you lift your leg off the accelerator pedal and the car slows down enough before reaching the hump. With Preve, I have to increase the distance required for slowing down by some car lengths. Even after lifting the leg off the pedal, the car's momentum doesn't slow much and often approaches the hump with too much speed.

biggrin.gif yes, BartS....its true and i luv this features...actually tyres features oni or preve itself features?

well the average fc of mine from day01 to day12 as of today, but fuelly was better than the SID average.

if u really want to do that, go ahead...
when i first got my car, drive slowly only...
when the mileage about to reach 1k....i went to highway, with three of my frens in my car, shoot to 200km/h...

There's a small gap. IMHO, that's pretty shoddy of Proton. Still it's not that ugly to the point where I would want them to be ripping it out. Should be able to live with that.
*
yup, as long as no one notice it...otherwise an embarrassment.

One good way to get good eco driving habit is to set you MID to display Instantaneous FC. You will know which driving habit is bad for FC and which is good for FC.

There was gap in my preve too but if you can live with it, live with it because no guarantee that the replacement will be better.

Is receipt that important to you? Not too bothered about it because the SG sticker is good enough for me.

Mine is public bank. Cant recall how much rebate they give, but this card is purely for petrol only. usually they advertise at the pump itself the credit card.

Other benefits like F&B tarak. For me, i just need the cc for the petrol rebate and for emergencies only. No need so many cc.
*
why dont sign up for OCBC Titanium CC? 5% petrol rebate at all stations. its one of the best cashback CC now. im using one now.. hehe

That doesn't look right. Will snap a pic of mine for you tomorrow.

Think you're referring to the smell from the catalytic converter. It gets better as your mileage increases.

may i know what car were u driving before preve??

Proton CVT uses a clutch, just like a Manual Transmission would but Proton CVT's is wet type clutch. So best way to look at your CVT is to think of it being a Manual Transmission. Like any Manual Transmission, it is better to press the accelerator a bit more to supply more petrol to engine instead of riding the clutch for more power, for example, when going uphill.

In your case, everything is supposed to be automatic so I suspect it is the ECU setting not being done right.

i think due to the heavy weight of preve, so the momentum will keep it roll and roll.
usually i lift the gas pedal and let it roll till bump/hump/near traffic junction(red light).

maybe tires play part, less rolling resistance, perhaps.

totally agree with USELESS COSE.  I sent my car there twice and each time spent more than 4 days... My car is still jerking, not light jerking, it is obvious when car is slowing down.  Every day stuck in the jam, it is paintful... The ESC light is still on and didn't go off, alignment is still problem, wind noise is still there.....

just collected my silver bullet from COSE after 7 days. Was promised it takes 3 days only. doh.gif

I don't understand why my 10 days old full syn syntium 1000 SM 15W/50 oil been replaced with syntium 800 SM 10W/40?

Can't they used back the same type? rclxub.gif
