Hello Gardeners.  With CNY around the corner, those lucky bamboo and lotus bamboo plants are everywhere. Anyone has tips on how to take care of them? Are they short lived plants? In the past, the ones I bought always ended up with their stalks yellowing and rotting.

Is it? I never tried before. I am kinda tempted to get one too for my house

Can anyone advise where to buy mushroom spores for self-growing?  Not the ones with the substrate bag, just the spores / seeds.  Tq

I know a farmer from Kampung Bukit Tinggi, but he sells at market price about RM 15/pack. Not sure he wants to sell since he grows mushroom for selling. He only sells for school children experiments etc.

My aloe vera plant leaves are turning brown at the tip.  Can I just cut that part off? Will it grow new ones back at the top?

Also, any suggestions how to prevent the leaves from spreading out during its growth.  I put my plant at the balcony and the leaves are taking up space cos they spread out too much.

but can it be grown in partial shade as opposed to full sun?

tropical fruits should like full sun, I cannot imagine partial shade, only 4 hours sun light? 2 hours?
