unless proton rebadge civic..then u can get cheaper civic. honda already ckd their car long time ago in mlk. while inspira is 'new' to proton. so it takes time for proton to produce their own parts.

when u talk abt ckd, of course related to local content. u assemble the car locally thus u'll use mostly locally made item. 

Yes, it supposed to be more cheaper but the problem here not came from Japan, Korean or Conti CKD car. The main issue about car price was our Govt (Miti) the one to fixed the MSRP... I still remember when Toyota & Honda submit to Miti their selling price for Vios & City (1st Gen) below RM50k last time but has been rejected by Miti due to Proton highly again it. That time alot people comparing Vios & City selling price in Thai (<RM50k). Miti/Proton very scared, will Proton can compete with this 2 car & survive? Definitely not.

Why? Everything cause by well known "BRAND & QUALITY". For Korean car still get some "Sweet ketchup" here cause to Proton it wont harm their market due to Korean car has poor reliability & after sale service but that was 10 years ago... Now, Proton always voice up & complain to Govt about Korean Car selling price to low...

Due to very well protection from Govt + incentive, Proton struggle & fail until now. This are the fact, why Proton failed... Korean people also very patriotic on their own product but Malaysian??? Malay said "Patriotic tapi tidak bertempat".. example:- Camry for PR Perak Exco change back to Proton Perdana, Perdana has been known car with 20 years ago technologies (Jap's Old Junk). Buying Camry or Perdana wasted tax payer money interm of value? For who opposed the fact here cause so call "PATRIOTIC", I just have one questions to you?

We all still remember, BN leader are the one very loud talking about Patriotic-Camry vs Perdana last time, others just follower.. to this follower, my question was.. How many Proton car all those BN leader own? My answer none... the lowest car they own are Toyota Harier...

sos or no sos its a fact la, our Proton and Perodua cars has screwed up the car pricing bracket for other makers. You poor ? buy proton or perodua, got money to waste ? then buy other overseas brand cars. We are forever Proton n Perodua slaves thanks to your frenly neighbourhood GOV ..
