I am the other way round, my camera works better after update to .55, previously was very bad focus in low light condition, now better. Camera quick launch also works better now.

Recently I bought my wife a Galaxy Nexus (was gonna to buy XPP but get the AP GNex at the end), and updated to Jelly Bean 4.1.1. I found that whenever GNex screen off the phone will be in 'sleep' i.e. the battery usage page will show screen off and sleep as the same pattern. My XPS on the other hand, is almost awake all the time, be the screen on or off. Wondering what bloatware is hogging the battery...

Yes ,the 3 dot is hard to press..
Alot of people have this problem too.
But dunno is software or hardware give this problem

My XPERIA S is DEAD. Huhu.. Forgot to take it out from my pants and put inside washing machine..... Is it repairable?

Remember Xperia S went from GB to ICS to JB
Two upgrade cycle and you are complaining
Of course priority is given to newer devices first
At the very least they bother to update older devices
Most sad case is Galaxy W No official ICS update so that is 0 update cycle
I'd say any phone that manufacturer give out two update cycle be it slow or fast is very impressive already
The only exception to that is Nexus line of devices of course

the prob are:
1) Sony is darn slow on support previous flagship (if I bought a low-end model, I won't be complaining much)
    just to put things in perspective, the Korean rival manage to update theirs as early as Oct,
    (note: taking previous flagship for comparison sake) i.e.
    SII release on May 2011 - JB update on January 2013
    Note I release on Oct 2011 - JB update on October 2012
    XPS release on Feb 2012 - JB update on ???!!!

2) it's a promise that count. 1st Sony said Q1 2013, later Apr, now it's May...
    if they tell from starts, JB update only available June, at least the expectation will be different

3) let's say try on leak version, if anything screw, who shall we complain to ? rather go customization path if I would want to give up my warranty

currently testign the leaked working JB rom ..will report back later on

try take pictures with flash..and you'll notice purple-ish (ics doesn't produce this, tho)
or..take picture in room with lights turned on

currently I'm on OpenSEMC Beta 3 CAF, used as daily driver and really smooth..battery friendly too. But there are limitations such as camera resolutions and no 1080p video recording and sometime the network will gone. I guess due to some proprietary drivers from sony aren't released.

If you mean current leaked 4.1.2 rom.. I prefer the cm 10.1 tho, since I'm used wit the customizations and leaked sony rom still got issues (lol wb issue as well) if you read the xda forums.

3rd party camera still got problems, too.
