Hi all, it's been almost two months of driving on my HCH. So far the experience is good. I got one question to ask all and see whether you all encounter the same experience I have or not.
I used to pump Shell petrol for my old car. It seems like I have problem of pumping Shell on my HCH. When I insert the pump shaft into my HCH, it seems it got stuck half way. The pump shaft is too thick and I could not fully insert into the oil tank. I did it twice and faced the same problem. I have no problem of pumping it on Petronas. So is it me or the car design? |

QUOTE(junjack @ Jan 14 2014, 12:36 AM) Yes. I have same experience as you. Initially thought something wrong with my car petro tank, now realize it should b Shell petrol pump design not match with HCH. Sigh. Thanks for the confirmation. In this case, I need to switch to another nearer Petro station. Anyone had tried Petron? Any issue? |

QUOTE(geek8585 @ Jan 15 2014, 10:42 AM) perhaps, petrol pump is not a major issue for me... Same here. I have the same feeling on the "jerkiness". Even I put it on "S" mode , it's even more obvious after I slow down. Need time to get use to it and learn a trick to step on the pedal better.but i feel... BHP is the best for HCH imo... at least not so much jerking... i still need time to familiar with the CVT gear hunting in low speed |

QUOTE(geek8585 @ Jan 15 2014, 02:14 PM) the culprit is the CVT and change of power supply btw battery and petrol... LOL. I believe it is very subjective. It depends on who the passenger is. If it's my wife. I bet she will not feel that too. but weird enough, my passenger doesnt feel so... only the driver can feel that lol |

QUOTE(geek8585 @ Jan 24 2014, 11:14 AM) super details... really thanks a lot... by the way, if i'm in accessories mode, can i just start the engine straight away by pressing brake+start button? When I first collected my car last month. My SA advice me few steps to start my HCH (see below). According to her this is recommended by Honda Malaysia.1. Press Start button once without stepping on the brake. I believe this is to turn on the accessories. You will see all the lights on your display. 2. Wait for 1 - 2 seconds until you see few accessories lights dim down on display. 3. Press start button and step on the brake to start engine. According to my SA, if we do this it can last longer. But then, I didn't understand what she meant. |

QUOTE(lingyg @ Feb 24 2014, 07:26 PM) Hello, anyone here that has driven your Civic Hybrid on Penang (or any small town with many traffic stops)? How was your fuel consumption? You don't have to turn on ECON mode to make it better fuel consumption. I am keeping my best record now (without ECON mode) and my average fuel now is 17km / l. Fyi, I am driving my car in KL - 70% highway 30% normal.Mine is rather poor with 12.8km/l (mileage of 3000km) because driving around Northern region of the island everyday...Georgetown-Pulau Tikus-Tjg Bungah with the longest road without traffic light being 2km along Kelawai Road. 100% City with lotsa traffic stops. No driving on Jelutong Expressway or to Airport and no Penang Bridge. Sometimes heavy footed, mostly light footed. My ECO rating for each drive (everytime I turn off the car) is usually 4 leaves, sometimes 5 leaves(max). Driving with ECON off. Engine oil still Honda stock mineral since day 1. Hope to hear your kind feedbacks and your sharings. Thank you. --- updated on 6 March 2014 --- I turned on ECON mode. drove gently and press lightly on the gas pedal. Now I can achieve 15km/l around the same city area. However with such driving, all the fun went out the window. No longer has POWER of dream. |

QUOTE(katmai81 @ Mar 21 2014, 07:57 PM) So good ah? I only managed to hit once 20km /l. Im not a racer. Just normal drive. Average speed will be around 90 - 100km/h on highway. For normal city road, around 60 -80km/h. Sometimes Im quite confuse, because I see many people posting better results than what I am getting for my HCH. I wonder whether the car still new or what. My car is not yet exceeding 5k mileage. |

QUOTE(kay_rahim @ Apr 27 2014, 09:00 AM) Thanks. I just figured out it wasn't the wiper issue. My whole car kena something from outside dust. The whole car (including paintings) is cover with layers of thick stuff. I sent the car for auto detailing. It was resolved. Now Im worry on my car as I work in a factory, worry my car will kena again. Do you all think coating will help? |

QUOTE(adachi7 @ Jun 19 2014, 12:26 PM) hi guize, Just install a third party one. I bought it from a group buy from Honda community via facebook (RM100). My car is less than 1 year and I had done two services from Honda service centre. They never question me.just wondering, I have a 2013 civic hybrid, but got no autolock/speedlock. I know the SA said because of gov regulation cannot add la bla bla bla, but its getting annoying to be reminded by my wife everytime i drive got to lock the car. I'm sending the car for the 1year maintenance this weekend, was wondering if anyone ever asked honda to have the feature installed (since it is originally accessible from the iMid on previous models/regions), or had it installed by any other 3rd party? and also how much it costs. thanks bhai |

QUOTE(blu3hamm3r @ Oct 10 2014, 02:14 PM) May be one of the alarm sensor disconnect or mulfunction. Last time when i go collect my HCH, i not even drive it, when the sales man explain to me what function and feature of the car tat time, my HCH door sensor not function and my dash board appear an “ !” symbol showing there is some problem on my car. Any how the sales man ask me drive it bek home 1st and send it to Shamelin service center to run system diagnosis checking on next day. I send my car to Shamelin Honda service center next day morning, they run thru all the test, still can't find out what problem, after 5 hours of checking, the senior mechanic engineer call bek to Japan HQ and ask for their help. Then they dismantle the door panel, at last the problem happen is due to 1 sensor socket unplug. During installation in Japan, may be the operator didnt fully plug in the socket, so while the car driving down from the trailer, the socket loose and unplug and cause the problem. Funny right? Actually just open the door panel and plug in bek the socket then problem solve. Thanks bro. Didn't know there's a service centre at Shamelin. My usual service center is at Pandan Indah. Hopefully they can help solve the problem. Also, whenever my car run over bumpy road, there is a "loose screw" noise out from the front passenger site panel. I did a check nothing loose. Wonder where it comes from. Was thinking of asking them to check as well.More advance technology car bringing more trouble actually. |
