Chelsea have been awarded a penalty in their first two Premier League games. This is the first time this has happened.History.

Cool huh? Thanks to the Mr Hazardous smile.gif
It's really good to see him making an impact so fast! His trickery feet are going to be nightmare for defenders, and his unselfish play worth an applause too! rclxms.gif
Torres still need to be sharper in his decision making, but he's making good runs and his movements are good.
Our defending definitely have a lot of work to do. Could've conceded more goals if reading can finish off their chances, this is not the way we defend.

Anyway, great win, and we're on the top of the table!Yay!

Added on August 24, 2012, 8:44 amKeep sturridge. I repeat, we must keep Sturridge AT ALL COST.
Well said epsonstylux, selfish player can be shaped into good players. Honestly, sometimes I think that Sturridge deserves to be selfish, he's confident with his skills, let him do it. Look at Ronaldo, that's how players prove their abilities.

Yeah! I really like Moses, he's extremely strong. As for winger, it's really hard to find someone with strong physical yet has a fast pace and decent acceleration. I would take Moses over Hulk with that price tag anytime! Well done Chelsea No more overpaying.

We're closing in Azpi deal too. He is a very good player, he adds extra depth to our right back and also centre back position.(Iva can move to CB)

Burning question is, do you think we need one more striker?

35m for Cavani seems a bit risky. He's kinda strong but don't expect him to be Drogba level.
I think Moses can be a very good addition to our squad, we might send long ball to wings and Moses can be our drogba to hold up? Torres has pretty good lay off skill too, so when we need to play long ball, we will utilize the physical strength of Moses. How does it sounds? It's pretty alright for me. smile.gif

I personally go against the idea to buy a striker. Currently we have Lukaku on loan, Sturridge who has ability to make a breakthrough and a senior Torres who is world class.
Buying another senior striker might ruin the future of Lukaku and Sturridge. And it's like throwing 50m to the drain.

I am concerned that if Ramires drops to midfield position in our 4231 system, which means he will play in the double pivot, passing would be a huge problem for him. Who do you think Ramires will replace?
If he replace Lampard, we won't have one midfielder to dictates the pace of the game. If he replace Mikel, we are lack of defensive cover for our fullbacks. Keep in mind that Ramires is not a defensive player, he don't provide much defensive work.

What are your thoughts?

He can be a good backup player. Hazard and Mata are great attacking players, but since they roam in every area, full backs need to come up to provide width. and it might cause our fullbacks to caught out of position. Pogrebynak goal: Cole was caught out of position.
While Moses is a typical winger, he uses his physical strength and pace to beat his marker.

best wigan player by far, and this is against us, the european champion, cut him some slack tongue.gif 7m, can't ask for more biggrin.gif

A good read about the young Moses.
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/co...ticle53720.html
Hopefully he can find a new family in Chelsea smile.gif

Haha, I used to be a BIG fan of Malouda during Carlo era. Don't get me wrong, I still appreciate his contribution but, is he contributing now? I don't want to go far tongue.gif

Moses below 10m and homegrown, budget! Homegrown players are always hugely overpriced.
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST TRANSFER WINDOW EVER!

Torres(Sturridge)
Hazard(Marin) Mata(Oscar) Ramires(Moses)
Lampard Mikel
(Meireles, Romeu, Essien)
Cole(Bertrand) Terry(Cahill) Luiz Iva(Azpi)

FM mode? laugh.gif
What I like about this squad is, our players are very versatile. For example, Hazard can play in any of the 'trinity' position. Mata can play on left wing or behind the striker. Moses and play on either flanks and even forward. Ramires can play in midfield, right wing and even right back where he scored the most important goal of the club in the history. Bertrand can cover Cole and also play in left wing. Sturridge can play in right wing or as a forward.

Awesome isn't it?

Why have such a low aim? tongue.gif
Ballon d'Or contender! drool.gif

Well, Hazard has been VERY impressing so far. He knocked off every butthurted critics that said he will fail in EPL, which was ridiculous.
Well done Hazard, well done. It's always hard for a player to cope up with these expectation and the extreme media pressure. I am glad that he prove what he have got so fast.
I agree Bertrand deserves a mention too. He has been spectacular so far. Love his link up with his sifu Cole, allowing Cole to bombard forward while Bertrand can cover the left back position quite easily.

I kinda like Moses. He's really ambitious. I am impressed with his first interview as well, short, simple answer but yet meaningful. He's one of a kind, started with centreback!
I remember we used have got one guy started as centre back too, and he wore number 11. You guys should know who! laugh.gif
I wish all the best to Moses cool.gif

i dont think we should be put expectations on hazard.
its the exactly same case with robben and joe cole.

start of season they played really well, but once opposition knows how their style of playing, nothing much they can do.

i personally think we should rotate hazard. i dont want him to be another joe cole
*
I agree, with the squad we're having right now, rotating players would be no problem.
Plus relying too much on a player is always not a good thing to practice.

You know what, I will rage if Sturridge leaves us. I don't understand why do we need to pay another big money on other players when we have one of the brightest talent in our squad. People just won't appreciate what they have got until they lost 'em. I hope RDM understands this.

Gotta admit Essien is in his own shadow. If we can get a good amount money from him, I am willing to let him go. But of course, I would like to keep both Meireles and Essien. Meireles can be vital when our double pivot faces injury crisis and Essien always provides a good dressing room atmosphere. Good for young players development too!

Okay. I love this group. It's not group of death but not an easy one too. Sometimes a bit challenging is good for the players to keep the momentum up.
Kesian City, really really tough group laugh.gif

And Essien loan to Arsenal?! NO WAY.

For Essien, it's either sell or keep for me. Loan is not an option.
I think everyone can expect Malouda and Benayoun to leave us by the deadline. Most likely.

Just got an update that Drogba IS NOT released by Shenhua.

In my opininon, I hope we don't buy any highly priced striker like Falcao and Cavani so soon. We certainly have few very good young strikers(LUKAKU!), and I always think that strikers are HUGELY overpriced.
I know our beloved Roman has lot of cash(he just won a 3billion legal case!), but the media will always give hefty price tag players a lot of pressure and I think everyone acknowledged that already.

I actually prefer Luiz than Ramires to play in the double pivot.
I really want RDM to try Luiz in the double pivot, his long range passing ability, desire to tackle, and the ability to score goals are just perfect fit for the role.

Good idea biggrin.gif
Too bad we are just forummer, RDM should know better than us nod.gif

I never consider Ramires as a double pivot. Read this:
http://www.carefreechronicles.com/2012/08/...weaknesses.html
With Meireles and Essien departed, we only have Romeu, Mikel, Lampard to cover the double pivot, I think Luiz will get his chance very soon, hopefully! smile.gif

On the other note, lampard was terrible against Atletico last week.
