Yes to chop down unwanted trees, it'll leave a stump which sometimes have unique pattern on it. To clear the stump use shovel. And yes you can grief other's towns by chopping down all their trees, don't do it of course.

Tbh it was really tempting to try out my new toy and swing at one of your nice trees.. just kidding!wintzen I think its for cutting down dead trees that does not produce fruit anymore.. and if ur lucky, u can get rare Mushrooms growing on the tree stump and sell it for 16k each! Yeah you can only grow perfect fruit trees of your own native fruit but they're only good for few harvests so save up some perfect fruit and chop it down replant after that.

guys, im on mc today and...while surfing the net finally i have succumbed to the temptation. Downloading AC: NL now
 This will be my first entry into the animal crossing series by the way and I heard it is a relaxing game so..I hope its true, well, except the the stealing of flowers? and the like that seems to happen if friends were randomly added? |
